Baymont by Wyndham Lancaster PA Dutch Country

My room was functional and utilitarian, with minimal but not unpleasant decor. It had all of the standard essentials, everything was in working order, and the bed was comfortable. The room, as well as the overall building itself was rather plain and, while well-maintained, lacked much in the way of atmosphere. I used my Wyndham Rewards for the stay, so to me it was a great value, a free night. Both check in and check out were straightforward. I had no complaints about cleanliness, either in the room or in the common areas. The hall carpet was clean and appeared to be in good shape; free of stains and no worn or damaged areas. The breakfast area was small, but neat and tidy. The food offerings, while nothing fancy, included most of the usual items one would expect from this level of establishment.

This hotel should be listed as the lowest Wyndham tier property available. The hotel has no elevator, has matted carpet in the common areas, and is basically philthy. There was feces in the toilet upon entering my room. There is layers of dust, marks on the walls, hand marks with who knows what in the bathroom. There were no washcloths in the room. When calling the front desk, they made Me come get them. No sense of customer service whatsoever.

The staff was friendly. The property is rundown and tired. The property is located on a very busy highway and the windows are not soundproof. The doors in the hallways slammed, the semitrucks and cars were breaking or picking up speed at the light right outside the hotel. While $175 is not a lot for a room per night, I felt that it was overpriced for the quality and location of the room and the hotel. The electronic key card had to be reprogrammed each day at the front desk. I would not recommend staying here.

The photos online do not accurately represent the rooms. The floors were sticky, crumbs in the bed and stains/streaks on everything. I would not recommend staying here. We immediately left once we saw the dirty conditions and were not given a refund. I would not recommend staying here

Don't expect brand name quality Think of this as a transient motel run by a very lovely family. If you're only looking for a bed and shower. Poor shower pressure, noisy, not the cleanest, blah breakfast below basic , coffee was decent, no tea and missing most amenities. The good. A very nice table that rolls and amazing clean towels.
