Comfort Inn Lancaster at Rockvale

Not sure why this hotel only garners a 4.0 Google Review cumulative rating. Based on our recent experience, the Comfort Inn Lancaster at Rockvale deserves far better. The grounds are immaculate as is the welcoming lobby/adjoining business center. Checked in by two very friendly folks at the desk. We were even given a nice little snack package. Corridors and elevators very clean and fresh smelling, as was out room, including the bathroom. It was all clean and in perfect working order. The hotel had the A/C on in our room for our comfort at arrival (71F). The outdoor pool sparkled and was attended by a bonified pool maintenance person. Complimentary breakfast included scrambled eggs, breakfast sausage and DIY waffles (two waffle irons). Coffee was hot and very good, along with the rest of breakfast offerings. The hotel is centrally located to live theater productions at the American Music Theatre, Sight & Sound Theatre and the Bird in Hand Stage.. Plenty of shopping and restaurants in close proximity and it's only about a 20 minute drive into Lancaster City Center. Granted that Rockvale Outlets are just a mere shell of what they used to be with the amount of stores, but there are still a number of anchor type stores there. The Tanger Outlet is down the road about 3/4 mile. The only thing I would have the hotel do would be to use a lighter color of paint next time around, to brighten things up a little in the hallways and rooms. Other than that, I would definitely stay here again, as it's a great value for what you get.

Very convenient to American Music Theater amd the outlet centers.
