Orange Homestay is an excellent accommodation and is above Frank motors (Tata motors dealer). The rooms are spacious and very clean. The terrace is awesome as they have many flowering plants which are blooming. The food is also good but at times the wait time is more. The staff are very helpful and service oriented. They don't expect Tips. Very polite and well mannered. Breakfast options are limited but serving is generous and unlimited. There is only 1 chef and he arrives around 7 am. So the earliest you can expect the Breakfast is at 7:30 am. It would be either of Poori or Bhature or Aloo Paratha ***** with bread toast and bread sandwich. Whatever they cook is tasty. Coming to the drawbacks. 1) No lift. If you get room at 3rd floor then it will be difficult for elderly 2) The accommodation is on Laitmor/Mawblei main road which is always busy and very noisy. Sleeping in the night will be slightly difficult due to the vehicles making noise. 3) Very far away from Police bazaar. You need at least 1 hour by car to reach police bazaar though the distance is only 6 kms. Shillong traffic is pathetic. Taxi guys fleece you. It costed us 400 to come from Police Bazar to Orange homestay. There is no car parking as well at Police bazaar. So if you are keen to spend time on shopping then Orange homestay may not be the right place. We stayed in room 111 at 3rd floor and the room is massive in size. Very thoughtfully stocked with hot packs, geyser, Air conditioning which can also double up as heater, extra blankets etc.

The location was great as the hotel provides easy access to the city center. I felt safe since the provide good security service at the gate, the entrance and safety boxes in the room. The building is not luxury but has a rather basic, which was okay seeing that this is a rather remote city. There is a great variety and quality of food available at the breakfast and dinner buffet. Also locals come here to have dinner and I was told by some that they prefer the quality over the other 5 star hotel in town. During day, there is a la card lunch available. There is also a hotel bar provided, which was however always empty during working day evenings. The coffee bar with the pastry station seems to be permanently closed. The gym area is quite small and just provides few running machines and some free weights. The steam bath is on demand only. The massage service is with female therapists only. The room has basic settings. The cleanness especially of the floor could be better (I found several times quite some hair on the floor). The bed is comfortable and has good bed linen. The bath room is basic but has some good amenities. The laundry service is fast and reliable. The few power plugs in the room are somehow worn out which makes it a bit difficult to charge the batteries of the equipment. The quest cannot change the AC from cooling to heating. Heating has to be switched on centrally and for temperature changes you need to contact the front desk. As the interior of the buildings can become quite cold in January that has to be considered. The most important thing about this hotel is the amazing hospitality I have experience during these days at all levels of the personell at the security, the concierge, the reception, the house keeping, and first and foremost at the restaurant. They were all friendly, knowledgable, eager to help, reminded small concerns that I had, and were always approachable. I did not observe any client engagement of the F&B managers who were walking around at the restaurant. Overall I enjoyed my stay a lot.

I stayed in Woodstock resort it was one of my best resort Location wise Food is yummy Services are very good Whatever you ordered we get immediately Weather is so pleasant Especially I would like to Thank Ms. Tina Dewri for her wonderful service. I recommend highly to all of my friends and family to go and visit Woodstock Resort and meet the manager she was so helpful and kind hearted. Overall it was my wonderful experience if I get a chance to rate I should have rated 100 out of 100. Thank you Ms.Tina and your team for everything and lovely services We will visit again .

The hotel should be a famous hotel in the local area! However, it is incomparable with the domestic 4 star hotel. The first hotel is relatively old, and the second hotel's supplies are relatively inferior. Only the staff are still pretty good, attitude is good, only live for one day, so in addition to feeling expensive, feeling worthwhile, the mood is not too bad! One night of transition, nothing to worry about!

Nice place and situated a good location to spend some time and relax. The staff team is very polite and courteous. Food quality is also very good. But the park is not well maintained.
