East Hertfordshire District Hotels with Bars

Over priced, over rated. Rooms are ok but teally HOT. There were fans in the hallways and a fan in my room. All totally useless. Stuffy, hot room impossible to sleep. £16 for a glass of wine in their ”cocktail bar”. You have to walk miles from where you are allowed to park your car (dont whatever you do do not impede the golfers) to reception (if you can find it) and then miles more to your room. £200/night for their worst room breakfast £16.50 extra. Won't be staying again nor recommending to anyone. Avoid unless you are desperate at 2200 like I was.

I can't speak for the hotel but I took my mum here for afternoon tea. I must say that one of the staff at reception was stone cold but the rest of the staff were lovely.. We had afternoon tea overlooking the garden which was just beautiful and it was an exceptionally nice day so that was a treat. The afternoon tea itself was very simple but very nice. The bread for the sandwiches was fresh, the scones were warm and the cakes were beautiful. We did have to chase up our actual pot of tea and didn't get given an option on what type we wanted which was odd but we honestly didn't mind. We would absolutely go back.

Was expensive. The room was 5***** though, huge comfy beds. Friendly staff and all round well appointed.
