Comfort Suites Manheim - Lancaster

Room was very nice. Spacious and clean. Teenage Kids liked the pool a lot. Just a fine place to stay.

If we were to go back to Lancaster this is where we would stay. Being a bit north of the city there was a country feel and green grass to see. We did not use the pool but I did use the small gym one night. We had a room with two queen beds and a somewhat separate area for a couch which could be used to watch the TV when it was pointed away from the sleeping area. The staff were helpful about nearby places for dinner.

I stayed overnight at this property for two nights for a Lancaster County vacation and it was conveniently located right off of 283 adjacent to a sheep farm with views of rolling meadows. It was extremely quiet, easy accessible beds were comfortable and very clean. I honestly thought it was a brand new hotel however it is 10 years old but it’s extremely well. Kept everything in the room was fully stocked and working nice size TV. My room was almost 400 ft.² and I stayed for two nights in April 2025 I definitely would return to this hotel, amazing infuse, lemon water and coffee and tea out ice machine on every floor very clean heated pool and the staff was amazing. I did not have the breakfast. Either of the days that I was there. My only complaint would be to maybe extend breakfast hours to 10 AM.

Pros: 1. The rooms are fairly big, nice and clean 2. The hotel itself is clean 3. It is very quiet even though I heard people running in the halls at night - the walls are not thin and you don't hear your neighbors at all. You could our neighbors in the hallway but not in our room 4 Very pretty and relaxing view if your room window faces the field in the back - probably not so great if you face the highway in the front Cons: 1. Forget about breakfast - the line was about 20 people to make waffles or even get into the serving area. Plan on going out for breakfast. No one was wearing masks except 1 other family even though Philadelphia required masks in all indoor venues. 2. No one was wearing masks anywhere in the hotel (also at breakfast as mentioned above) 3. Forget about the pool - it is tiny and if one family of 4 people goes they will take up the entire pool and a few times i came to check if the pool was free I saw drinking cups floating in it and bags of chips thrown around and floating. 4. Room was very stuffy at night, had to figure out how to play with the air conditioning/heating/fan to keep the temperature comfortable - just keep the fan on low all the time and it seems to be comfortable is what I figured in the last few days of our stay.

Needs better training. Overall it wasn’t too bad, except for the fact that the property pictures show a bbq picnic area with grills, which we wanted to take advantage off, since we were going to stay there several days, and wanted to make our own food a few times. We took with us food to grill, and then we couldn’t find the grill anywhere, we ask the attendant on the front desk (Nick), and he was clueless, not only that, he proceeded to ask us, what was outside because he had never been there!!!, 😲really!!!, how do they trained people?, they don’t show them their own property and amenities?, why would you ask us what’s out there?, if you don’t know, please go outside and look, so you can know what your own work offers…😩😖truly disappointing, we waited money on steaks, that by the end of our trip were bad( refrigerators do not have a freezer. And we brought a bunch of unnecessary stuff to cook on the grill thinking it was there… if you don’t have grills, please take down the pictures that show them. Also, we asked in the front desk if someone could go and give us a few more towels and clean up a bit the bathroom ( since we were staying several nights), no one ever came, nor left more towels… please do a better job training people so they know all the things your hotel offers or not.🙁🙁😩 we actually afterwards asked a girl in the cleaning crew about the grills, she came back with an answer. We are still waiting for Nick to answer our question about the grills. Too about about the service.
