Travelodge East Grinstead

We stay here regularly as family live nearby. Staff very helpful but no water over two days, broke once, repaired, broken again. Now going with Air B and B. Broken gutters from two separate areas ret of resulted in cascades of water streaming down front of hotel.

Hotel ok, staff not ok Needed to change room told plenty of rooms available but told could not change there by staff and to call central reservations given number called them who advised that can only be changed by hotel staff, when pushed said raised and will get call back. Never received a callback. Awful customer service.

First night the air con wasn’t working and after complaing to reception they refused a room move. It was the height of summer and the room was like a sauna! I was given a fan but all that done was blow the hot air about. I never slept all night. 2nd day I was room moved however once I went to bed all I could hear was the constant low humming of the air conditioning units on the roof. This kept me awake all night, 2 days with hardly any sleep= not a happy camper.

Loved the service it was quick and direct. there was a lovely receptionist I think her name was maeva she was really nice.

I booked an accessible double room. When we checked in we were given a twin room a fair distance from reception. We went back to reception and were told all the rooms had been set up as twins. The receptionist said she was unable to change the beds to a double. At this point I was fed up and just wanted to leave. We then asked were there any double rooms with shower. She gave is room 101, which was small, stuffy and next to corridor door which kept both of us awake when people went through. I booked and accessible room as I require space in the bathroom. I couldn't even sit down on toilet and certainly was not able to use the shower due to lack of space in room 101. Just walking past the end of the bed was not easy as I kept banging my shoulder on the TV which stood out from the wall. Was really happy to check out and leave East Grinstead Travelodge!

The hotel was pleasant, comfortable bed. It smelt a little in the bathroom, seemed like someone was smoking from the other room. I was ver disappointed about the breakfast. I booked a saver rate and chose breakfast. I dd not realise that it was onl cornflakes, and it cost me £5.95. What a rip off!! Travel Lodge please look at your policy again and make some alterations, if guests want to cancel, you shoud give them the option. To be honest I will not be booking a weekend in any Travelodges.
