A lovely old pub serving great food and with comfortable and clean rooms. The staff were friendly, helpful and we had great service at both dinner and breakfast. Really enjoyed our stay

This was a home from home. We could not have been made to feel more welcome. After a 3.5 day drive from Corfu to walk through the doors of a friendly Great British hostelry was simply the best experience. Spacious accommodation in the Flat, plenty of room to unwind with my two dogs who were a little wound up after the long drive. A good nights sleep and the ability to run off steam in the field opposite, we all left relaxed and chilled. Pub grub was fabulous too! As I couldn’t stay for breakfast , they even went to the trouble of sending me off with a packed lunch! 😋

Perfect stop off on the way to Cornwall. Good quiet nights sleep, the church clock does strike on the hour but only heard it because I was awake. Good breakfast with pleasant service. Dropped a star for the roast dinner. It was good but could have been better. Roast potatoes not crispy and wasn't all that warm.

Great pub. Lovely atmosphere and fantastic, friendly staff. The food was amazing and some unusual things on the menu. Great breakfast too. Our room was really lovely too. Highly recommend and will definitely be going back!

Another great stay. Lovely old inn with lots of character. Historic bar and restaurant downstairs, with stone flags and walls, and exposed beams. Comfortable accommodation upstairs, clean and quiet. Good food. Large adjacent car park.

We had a good stay. Room food and beer all good. We had to leave before breakfast and were offered takeaway options instead which was appreciated.
