All staff members that we met were friendly, especially Roxanne. We stayed there in Jan & we were pleased with the parking lot being kept as clear of snow & ice as Mother Nature allowed. Our room was really nice & we loved the view of the harbor.

The front desk is friendly and helpful but beside that, this is not a great hotel. Extremely outdated. Not clean. There were spider webs in several areas of our room. The jacuzzi had hair in it. The breakfast was just grab and go items. The bed sheets were stained. I do not recommend.

Very outdated room, not maintained. Spiders and webs in the corners and on the ceiling. Hair in the jacuzzi and on the floor. Saying breakfast is included is a stretch, I would say snacks included. Front desk gentleman was very kind and professional.

No elevator in the one building which was not told to us when we checked in. My husband and I both have bad backs and knee issues so humping luggage and going up and down the stairs for venturing out was not pleasant. We also paid extra for a Bayfront room and we got a view from the side of the building that was blocked by both buildings so paid extra for nothing. As far as the room, It was studio and spacious with a small kitchen area and clean.

It's 2:35 am as I started typing this from my room. The timeline goes as this... 10:45 PM shut off lights, ready to call it a night. We can hear the neighbors TV. It keeps us awake for twenty minutes. At some point I hear someone yell the F word. I remember I have noise canceling earbuds. 11:30 PM finally fall asleep. 1:30 AM awoken by upstairs guest stomping around. 1:30 AM - 2: 15 consistent loud stomping from guest which can be heard from my earbuds. Though, according to my mother, the stomping woke her up a half hour before it did me. There is no one in the lobby to call and report this. I eventually have to take an advil because the room gets way too warm without the a/c running, but the a/c is too loud to sleep while it is running. 2:38 AM the stomping has resumed. 2:38 AM - 2:50 on and off stomping. I am very disappointed. The sleeping area of the room is nice, but when you really take a look you see the problems. When you open the screen door to go outside the patio you're at risk of the tripping. The bathroom is dated and dirty and yields a yellow color some spots. The floor is dirty. I see some chipped paint. I know this won't hurt me, but for the price of the room you'd think they'd fix some of these issues. 2:53 AM stomping getting louder. I know that loud and rude guests aren't a problem of the hotel itself and the hotel can't control them (the staff has actually been great during the day when interacted with), but this isn't right. There should be someone working the lobby right to take noise complaints, which is standard for most hotels. I've been awake almost two hours now. I am finishing this at 3:16 AM. I hope maybe I can get some sleep at some point. I have to wonder what is so important that has someone stomping instead of sleeping... Hotel is responsible for their in-house issues, yes, but guests can be better too. You're adults. If you wanna stomp or make any other noise do it at your own home where you can't disturb anyone else.

We’ve been coming here for years. They did a nice exterior renovation a few years ago. The rooms are nice but they are showing their wear and tear and are due for an update. The rooms have a small fridge, microwave and small sink. I wish they’d remove the jacuzzi tubs and replace with a larger fridge and stove. The first floor rooms are open to the beach and are our favorite. Each room also has a patio or balcony. The west building has an elevator but the east does not. There is a continental breakfast from 7am to 10am. (Coffee, tea, juice, cereal, yogurt, fruit, & small breakfast sandwiches) it is adequate. There is a heated pool on the lakeside. We like coming in September because the summer prices are creeping out of range. There are a few restaurants that are walkable, (Hopscotch..pretty good, Don Drive In..ok, Bob Evans… not very good. Walgreens in the other direction, also walkable. They clean the beach every morning They have Directv with premium channels. Plenty of parking. There is no daily room cleaning during your stay, you can get what you need at the front desk. Bed is comfortable. Lounge chairs on the beach and each room has two chairs and a small table on balcony or patio. There are two unique fire pits on the beach, you must provide your own wood. I recommend staying here. It’s past the bustle and bustle of Traverse City.

This hotel is extremely dated. That in of itself is not terrible, but the bathroom is especially are dated. there were cobwebs everywhere, lots of tiny bugs called midges. The staff was nice , but there are nicer places for about the same amount of money.

Super cute! Clean room with a working whirlpool bathtub in the room. Stayed here for a quick New Years Eve getaway and couldn’t have been more charmed by this little retro gem. Our room also had direct access to the bay, and a great view of the water from the big cozy bed. Helpful staff as well. Recommended!
