First time staying in Traverse City and first time at this hotel, which is only three years old. Right on the water with a sand beach ( don’t expect a white sandy beach., remember this is a lake) and a rooftop restaurant and bar overlooking the water. Probably the cleanest and most pleasant hotel I have stayed at in a long, long time. The rooms are not huge, long and narrow, but beautifully decorated. There were so many small touches that you don’t find in your large hotel chains. The lobby is adorable with a small gift shop. You can definitely tell that a woman advised on the decor of this hotel! I would highly recommend staying at this hotel Tho I thought it was a little overpriced ….. but all of the hotels on the water appeared to be about the same price.

This hotel was everything and more than I had hoped for! The views are spectacular, the room was beautiful and very well thought out. The bath tub we had was an extra little bit of luxury. Lots on offer from their little store. To make this an even more fantastic place to stay, the Blush rooftop bar was incredible for both the view and the food, the staff here were so lovely, we ended up eating here both nights. Thank you for a wonderful time.

The Alexandra Inn is a quaint hotel right on the water the detail in the decorating the cleanliness of the room in the professionalism of the employees will bring me back again if you’re looking for a great place to get away to Traverse City this is the hotel

A gem overlooking the water
Beautiful little inn overlooking the water. Room was spotless and very comfortable. Staff was very welcoming and friendly. Free cookies at check-in and cinnamon rolls in the morning made our stay that much more enjoyable. Will definitely be back!

Loved how quaint it was. We had a lake view. We were a few steps away to the fire pit on the beach. Will stay here again!!!

Meh.
Not remarkable. The hotel is clean and styled as boutique but all that means is everything is decorative and tiny. There are no frills or amenities. The evening cookies were not available one hr after they were made available, and the touted morning cinnamon rolls were not ready at 7:45 a.m. and at 8:30 it was clear they had just come from the fridge as they were icy cold. Lastly, they need to install towel bars in the bathrooms. They provide a single hook. All pretty pretenses but no real comfort substance.
