Motel 6 Baton Rouge, la - Southeast

I was fooled by the reviews of this hotel. I was supposed to be in a non smoking room, however the smoke alarm was sitting on the desk removed from the ceiling and sitting on the table. Woke up to bugs crawling on me, 2 days later and I have bug bites all over me. Cigarette burns through the blankets, the toilet was not flushed when I got into the room, the lock was not screwed into the door, and a strong odor of smoke in the room. I understand motel 6 is a budget hotel, however that doesn’t make it okay to have a room filthy, bug ridden and overall a health code violation. This hotel is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at in my entire life. Mattresses thrown out in the parking lot make it look abandoned! And it sure feels like it when half the rooms are being “renovated”. This hotel needs to be shut down and inspected. Complete s*itshow.

Smelly, ac didn’t work, heater didn’t work, microwave wasn’t plugged in, smoke alarm disconnected, really bad property.

The property was run down and dirty. The room was suppose to be a non-smoking room, but it smelled terribly of smoke whenever I entered. There were hairs on the bed and in the shower. The lights didn’t work in the room. We cancelled our reservation immediately after. I felt unsafe in the area as well.

The presentation was not good

Not worth it. No. Just No. There were several 1 inch holes in the bathroom door. The tv didn’t work or even have a remote. The curtain to cover the window was broken.

Satisfied considering the price! The room I stayed in the evening of October 15 (232) was clean and seemed to be mostly renovated. Soundproofing in between rooms could be improved and the sink light didn't work, but was happy with my experience considering my last-minute reservation and the price.
