The Rag House

We were given a warm welcome by Sue as soon as she opened the front door. We stayed in the Kingsize bedroom with the en-suite, which was all immaculately clean. (I am quite fussy). We were given a front door key, and shown the rest of the house and garden which is very extensive, and we were told we could sit and enjoy the views of the Malvern Hills. The TV lounge was very comfortable after having been out all day walking. Breakfast was an absolute treat. Everything you could possibly want and much more than we could eat. We settled for the full English which was cooked fresh for us and was very satisfying - kept us going all day whilst walking round Upton upon Severn. We would definitely stay again if we are visiting that way. Cannot fault it in any way whatsoever. WELL DONE SUE and thank you again. Jean and John

Delightful B & B just outside Upton upon Severn. I only stayed here for one night which was very pleasant. I had the single room as I was travelling alone. It was a nice bright room and had a very comfortable bed. Sue was charming and kindly supplied oat milk at breakfast as I am lactose intolerant. Although situated close to a main road there was very little traffic at night and sleeping was not a problem - and I’m a light sleeper! The shared bathroom was also not an issue even though all rooms were occupied the night I stayed. Will definitely stay here again when visiting the area.

This is a very comfortable and clean B & B and the breakfast is excellent. We had the en suite room so can't comment on the shared bathroom but when we were there only one of the other rooms was ever occupied so it probably wasn't that much of an issue. Fears on arrival about the proximity of a busy road to the house were unfounded; my wife is a very light sleeper and she enjoyed undisturbed rest. The lack of a TV in the room was explained as a way of reducing noise nuisance for other guests and it was not missed. Besides, there's free wi-fi so catching up on stuff is easy enough. The USP for this establishment is undoubtedly the owner, Sue, whose calm friendly manner contributed to us having a very enjoyable stay despite some rather disappointing weather.
