Excellent stay! The location is perfect, the rooms are clean and spacious, the continental breakfast is great, and the staff is AMAZING! Scottie took care of us each day on the free shuttle, and he went above and beyond! Tiffani and Nae at the desk were so friendly and helpful, and they went out of their way for us! If we are ever back in the area, we will definitely stay here! Highly recommend!

Deniasia and Tiffany could not have been more welcoming at arrival…cheery disposition, helpfulness finding restaurants, anticipation to directions…really picked up the mood from what was a looong day of traveling. I needed that…what an excellent way to begin a stay!

We were staying here due to a medical procedure at Duke. This was the perfect place to stay! Very bright room with 2 large windows, plenty of space for my husband to work while caring for me, great location to go grab food, and a great area to walk! We had the King Suite, and it was our home for 1 week, and we couldn't have asked for more! The kitchen was great, as was the desk!

5 It was great! The ac was not working and Dewey came and fixed it instantly. The front desk was incredibly helpful/friendly and we were not surprised as we have stayed here before. We are going to return every time we are in Durham. ……………………..

Great room and location. And even better. Amazing welcome from Deniasia at the front desk. Super nice and professional. Hard to find these days. This hotel is much nicer than I expected. Will be back asap. Lots of great restaurants nearby. Can’t wait to return.

I just hosted a small meeting at Duke and my 12 guests stayed here. Their experience was uniformly excellent and they were very happy. The Director of Sales, Jennifer Parkes, was great to work with throughout the reservation process. Very flexible for our needs. The hotel is recently renovated and has a great, modern feel. My guests said that the complmentary breakfast was very good. And the rooms were very nice. One of the best things about the hotel is its location. Right next to East Campus. Walking distance from Ninth Street amenities and downtown activity, as well as easy access to campus and the campus bus. The overall experience actually exceeded my (high) expectations which is why I decided to write a review.

I am a high status Marriott Bonvoy member, and I got assigned a room all the way at the end of the hotel closest to the train tracks, which were less than a block away. The train came through several times a day and a couple times each night, blaring it's horn every time! It was impossible to sleep in this hotel. On two different days I tried to change the room and was told that other people requested also but the hotel was full so they could not accommodate any changes. I am pretty upset that we would have such a terrible room given my status with Marriott Bonvoy. Unfortunately I have plans to visit this hotel again in May so I certainly hope I'll be better cared for then...
