This is a rather large hotels with several hundred rooms. So if large crowds are a problem stay elsewhere. I prefer hotels with much fewer rooms. That said the hotel interior was fine considering the age of the property. The room was quiet, bed comfortable, nice shower and fairly clean. The buffet breakfast was below average. The hotel grounds are unkept and littered with trash. Management needs to spend some money and hire professional landscapers to turn the awful conditions around. I’m sure that Marriott Corporate would not find this acceptable.

We booked this without knowing what we'd get (from Hotwire) and that always causes me to be a bit uneasy. Not to fear, everything worked out fine. It did take a bit of time to get checked in. We were in line behind a gentleman who was having some issues (or more likely, the desk clerk was having some difficulties). But the second clerk helped her through the process and the gentleman guest was most patient. Then we were up next, but the more senior associate motioned for us to step over the the newer clerk so he could deal with a dozen or so flight attendants and pilots who were staying for a layover. That was a bit rude, but the nice lady worked to take care of us, eventually getting our rewards number entered and two room keys for us. A little slow, but no real issue other than that we were tired. Then we went to the elevators, of which only one of the two was working, so it was taking awhile. Fortunately, my wife bothered to read the repair notice which directed people to a couple of alternative elevators at the back of the hotel property--a little hike but worth it to avoid such a long wait. We were in our room shortly thereafter. And the room was fine. Everything worked as it should. It was sufficiently dark. The bathroom functioned as it's supposed to. Now, this was no discount hotel, so there was no free breakfast option, but that's OK, especially when this ended up being cheaper than our much worse experience the night before (see another review). Kudos to this hotel.

Overall the stay was ok. The good parts were that the room was quiet, the bed was comfortable, and there was adequate parking. There were some downsides, though. The air conditioning wasn’t working in my hall, so it was hot, humid, and smelled unpleasant when you walked outside the room. One of the outside doors was broken and wouldn’t open from the outside, so we had to enter in a different door that was more inconvenient. I was also disappointed to see that the hot tub has been filled in. I might stay again if the price is reasonable, but I hope they fix the issues.

Do NOT stay here. You have been warned, The Sheraton Imperial should have no stars. My car was covered in bird poop from being in the parking lot . My room floor had to be moped after I checked in because muddy foot prints were on the floor. It took a couple of hours for housekeeping to come to mop the floor. The television stations didn't properly work. I left the hotel and returned to find my room had been entered and the door left open with my luggage in the room. Something sinister is going on at this hotel. My lunch order was wrong three times. I would NEVER stay here again and would not recommend anyone stay in this ghetto dump unless you want thieves going through luggage . There is a lack of security, cleanliness, and integrity at the Sheraton Imperial.

This was an incredible hotel, especially for business. A common complaint I have within hotels include lighting and charging accessibility, which were great on both fronts. Additionally, the hotel gym IS AN ACTUAL GYM Next door, which is incredible. I would definitely stay here again. The only complaint I have is that there is no water filtration at the hotel or at the gym, just regular water fountains.

First time I stayed here and boy was I happy. Rooms were very nice, they give you points ($1k) if you dont want room service. The building next to the hotel is a workout gym and you get a free pass during your stay. I used it alot and would go back just for that. I did eat at the hotel (room service) cause I was quarantining..and I had a turkey club which was ok but expensive $17-$21 bucks...fries were good. Check in was quick, breakfeast buffet was your standard but fresh and good...when the resturaunt is not open the kiosk with Starbucks and other foods is ok, but when there is a conference there was a reallllly loooooong line and I had to go out...really my only critique. Great location as well.

Great stay at the Sheraton Imperial. Location is convenient off the interstate while being a full service hotel at a price point that is an exceptional value for the experience. Check in was a breeze. This hotel is newly renovated and the rooms are nicely appointed with all new carpet, furnishings, bathroom upgrades, wall coverings, bedding, etc. We had a restful night with zero noise from the hallway or other rooms which is unusual at any hotel. In the AM we enjoyed a Starbucks coffee at the lobby coffee bar with exceptional service from the friendly server. They also have great breakfast items for reasonable prices. Highly recommend this hotel!!! Great property

Stay at your own risk!! I was 1 of 9 vehicles broken into in parking lot (in a single night!!!) Police confirmed money, jewelry, firearms, etc were taken from vehicles. You don't have 24hr security and you advertise as an RDU convenient stay? With people coming in from all over the globe!?!? ***?!?! And nobody saw anything? Are you kidding me??

As a platinum elite member, we do a lot of traveling for business and pleasure. This visit was by far the worst. Our vehicle was one of 9 that was broken into in one night. Our Window smashed and firearm stolen. Now our reservation is completely erased from the Bonvoy system but credit card is still charged. All that was said was “we’re sorry” and “nobody saw nothing.” Please do yourself a favor and do not stay here. You will be doing so at your own unfortunate risk.
