Room for improvement
The stay was really pleasant. But a few things the hotel can work on such as the aircorn in the room not working. The wifi only works if you are at reception not in the room as advertised, and the tv only plays 4 channels 1 2 e and Supersport.

Very bad
I booked before arriving at the hotel. When I got there, they told me my booking hasn't come through but the money credited into my account, till today I have not receive my money back, I had to pay again at the hotel because it was already late,

Very poor
The reception was of no help in checking our booking. Ignored us and it was xtremely frustrating yet the booking was Co firmed but she didn't check with the lodge of our names are in the list rather said she can't help if she dotn get an email from hotel. Com. No towels was given at the lodge. When I got to. The lodge to Chek my booking the male guy didn't even ask for my name saying he can't help etc until about 10.minute later he asked what's your name then said there's your name on the list. Breakfast was a disaster. The tea came after the food and you don't have a choice in the breakfast it what they give you. Spicy chilli sausages is not everyones delight. The staff and professional lacked I wouldn't go bacs k to stay there

Unsatisfactory
The room allocate had an odour . We asked to be moved. The Wifi was not accessible i n the room . The breakfast area was lacked any ambiance. Sugar was served in a disposable cup. The room had 1 teabag and no teaspoons.

The staff was friendly and nice from security guard at the gate to the receptionist the rooms were neat and clean safe parking in a quite area and very close to the beach ⛱️ looking forward for another stay at Hotel when I visit Durban South Coast again.

Service was the best and cleaning staff worked hard for my stay besides wifi was on and off, the place need to up their standard on catering other than that their staff is the best especially the lady called Nandipha is the face of that Hotel 100% of her commitment is there

Mutton bunnies, grey curry, no taste, unless bitter is deemed a taste. The Island hotel bunnies of yester year will be embarrassed to be served from the same location. Advice to future patrons, dont think this is the same Islands and go there, u will be disappointed.

firstly there is no porter to help you with your luggage. the receptionist is very rude. the rooms are not very clean the aircons dont work. the car park floods and my car has been written of . there are no managers present, they donot have extra towels when you ask staff what do you do if there is a fire and you need to use the phone in an emergency ,they said"we will let the place burn " this has been the worst experience of my life.
