We had a wonderful and relaxing stay at Beach View. We are a family of 4 and stayed in one of the very lovely and spacious classic suites. The pools are great. All facilities have been very well considered even down to things like re-useable shopping bags, beach towels, chairs and parasols that you can take with you on beach trips. Great location. Staff very helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend!!

This is an incredible place to stay. We are a family of 4 and stayed in a spacious 3 bedroom classic suite. Everything has been thought of in this hotel- great food, lots of pools, easy check in and check out, beach towels, deck chairs and parasols for the beach. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the hotel complex is beautifully maintained. We will be back.

Along with my family we had a fantastic vacation here at Beachview. Our villa was perfect for the five of us, spacious, well equipped, beautiful views on to the garden, we couldn't have asked for more. On site facilities were spot on too, three beautiful pools to choose from, the upper of which was always peaceful. The restaurant and pirate pub were also great fun. Great location also, just across the road from the beach and easy to get the local buses into Bridgetown or Holetown. What really made our holiday though, were the incredible staff at Beachview. Everybody was so friendly and welcoming and helpful; I don't think I've ever had better service. We have two kids of 21 and one of 16 with us and they enjoyed it just as much as we did. Highly recommend this place, 11 out of 10

We lived in Barbados at Sunset Crest for a year, 40 years ago. This hotel is approximately 3 km closer to Bridgetown (from Sunset Crest) and across the street from Payne's Beach. Excellent location and a good value for money. The luxury suite we occupied was on the third floor (had an elevator) and had a great view of the ocean (faced West and had great sunset views). We just returned from our stay three days ago and the weather during our stay was perfect (especially considering the time of year). The staff and facility were great and one could utilize beach chairs and umbrella, as well as a cooler at no charge. I had noticed some complaints concerning the service and prices of the food at the Sugar Apple Cafe (on site) in a few reviews but considering the time of year, the quality of the food, and other options on the island we were very satisfied with our meals. We ate three late afternoon and evening meals there. We made a lot of other meals in our kitchen. A large grocery store is located at Sunset Crest however be aware if you are going to rely the local bus to get you there you will need small bills ( $3.50 Barbados per person per ride ) for the fare. If one utilizes the ATM at the airport (like myself) to withdraw $200 US (which is $400 Barbados) you will receive four $100 bills back - good luck cashing them. Do not assume the Banks will break them down (as we found out) unless you have an account with them. If you decide to stay here utilize the "cab pick you up at the airport " service offered by the hotel (it was added to my hotel bill) as well as the starter food (placed in the fridge on arrival) package offered by the hotel. In short my wife and I were very happy with our stay here and will return.

Not a hotel review as such, just a mention for the Sugar Apple Cafe, which a mate said might be good for breakfast last weekend. It's been under new management since last month and we were pleasantly surprised to find Paul Edwards enjoying being back in the kitchen. If the name is familiar, then Nishi in Second Street, Holetown, might be where you remember him from. While he's better known recently for 'working the tables' in restaurant management positions, his first love was always designing menus and cooking food . . . and it seems he hasn't forgotten how to do it! Eggs Benedict made an excellent breakfast and the lunch and dinner menus looked good, fresh fish, local produce, and certainly not 'west coast' prices. Wait staff were great, too . . . and don't be put off by having to pass a security barrier on your way in. Just say you're going to Sugar Apple and they will wave you past, friendly guys like everyone else on the property . . .

We had a lovely apartment with a well equipped kitchen and a beautiful seaview. I would recommend hiring a car or using the local buses to get around as taxis can be expensive. I found it hard to get to sleep with the road noise & crickets at night time. I would recommend bringing ear plugs. I found during our holiday the Barbadian people to be v friendly and courteous.

We had an amazing stay from start to finish! The room was great and always so clean, the hotel grounds are beautifully kept (and feel completely safe), pool areas were nice and quiet because of the low season, and staff everywhere were always wonderful and accommodating. Nice area and easy to get around the island either by taxi or bus (but beware of the small yellow vans, they drive like crazy and not in a good way). We will definitely stay there again if returning to Barbados.

We had the pleasure in staying in your luxury 3 bedroom apartment. It was a truly beautiful place with everything we could have possibly needed to complete our stay. Only downside was the noise from the road and also the car park beside our outdoor balcony, however it didn't put us off, and we also had a lot of noise from the QP bistro across the road. Some nights we sang along to ABBA.

Located on the west side of the island (Holetown), the hotel sits right across the street from 2 really good ocean front restaurants. There is an awesome restaurant on the property as well. Our room was up to date, well decorated, and had the perfect view of the ocean. Upon arrival, we were greeted and shown to our room. There were fresh bagels, and a bottle of rum punch waiting for us in the fridge. Very nice touch. The owner thought of simple things that makes vacation life even more pleasant like: towel racks located on the balcony, so you don't have to hang your swimsuit or towel in the bathroom. Ventless AC units that are energy efficient, but cool your room to absolute perfection. The entire villa is tile, so you don't have to worry about mold and mildew. The beds are very comfortable, and every room facing the ocean has a balcony (the primary bedroom has its own). I really cannot say enough about my stay. Everything was top tier. Things I didn't think to do or bring. Be sure to pack sufficient snacks or things to eat because the nearest grocery store is 7-minutes away by taxi and cost $17 USD one way. I considered renting a car, but I would have been too nervous as they drive on the left side of the road. Food/cabs are expensive, so next time I’ll try to avoid the grocery store. Be sure to bring sufficient cash. Everywhere accepts USD, but you can’t withdraw USD from an ATM, and it’s not available at the local bank (at least that’s what I was told). Cabs/buses typically only take cash. Other than the hiccups on my part, the trip was the most delightful! I cannot wait to return!
