Budget Inn Durango

Conveniently located on the north side of town, away from congestion, with comfortable beds and clean rooms, providing a pleasant stay. Walking distance to amenities adds to the convenience.

This place is a dump. It is nothing like the pictures you see online. I understood that with the word Budget in their name, it wasn't the Ritz but man what a miserable experience. The workers behind the desk were extremely rude. When I asked for new pillows because the one's in the room had stains, I was told "they are in storage and we should have asked at 4:30 not 8:30. The pool is filled in with dirt and weeds are growing out of it. The towels were old, thin, and dirty looking. Also, you have to pay a quarter if you want ice from the ice machine. Don't believe the reviews or pictures that you see online. I have travelled to 39 states and this is the worst motel / hotel that I have ever stayed in.

You DO NOT want to stay here - ever. This place is a DUMP, with a capital D. The indoor/outdoor carpeting in the rooms likely hasn't been cleaned since it was installed - it's filthy dirty. There is an overwhelming stink about the place, too. The pool is filled with rocks, dirt, and garbage (yes, really!) It looks like the management didn't want to maintain it (just like the rest of the place), so they partially just filled it up instead. To top it all off, the "manager" is just downright rude and obnoxious. It seems like the health department or the building inspectors should close this place down - and soon.
