Our family stay at the Mossbrae Hotel was amazing! We will definitely be back! We stayed in the family suite, which was beautiful and well appointed. Enough room for our entire family of four!

This visit was the first time we have stayed at a hotel where there is no staff and we had codes to get into lobby and room. It actually worked out fine. I texted (someone?) and got prompt responses.

Wonderful, wonderful - I wish every hotel I stay in was just like this !! Beautifully decorated, large room, super comfortable bed, great in-room amenities ( fresh coffee press !, fridge, microwave and crockery for 2 ) If you are in this area to enjoy all the natural wonders nearby, or just passing through on a longer trip, stay here. (Btw - The Dunsmuir brewery is a 1 min walk away for a good evening meal. We did not try any of the other few restaurants in town )

The only surprise was lack of elevator. I only had three bags to carry, could be worse! The room and hotel in general is immaculate. I especially loved the huge bathroom. Quiet and comfortable. A nice eatery across the street. Easy walk to the train station.

The interior has been tastefully renovated and the room and bathroom was well appointed and comfortable. Unfortunately, the town of Dunsmuir has seen better days and we were a little uneasy with parking our car on the street overnight.

Exceeded expectations
I was pleasantly surprised to find an electric hot water kettle, French press, and tea options in my room. After a long drive, the hot chamomile tea was perfect before bed. I was also so grateful to find a cold bottle of water in the fridge. The room was comfortable and I had everything I needed for my brief overnight stay. I’d recommend and will return.

There is no staff on site but Jerilyn answered immediately when I called to verify the entrance codes. The place is clean and very comfortable and nicely updated. The town has seen better days and remains quaint despite its recent challenges—it has a ton of potential. Excellent breakfast at the cornerstone cafe across the street. Beer up the road was also tasty. Note that only room 7 is on the entry level and there is no elevator. Out the back door is a nice deck area with a grill. We didn’t use — it looked tempting.

Lovely place, lovely room. Very quiet casual. Easy self check in and out. Quaint little town, easy walk to eateries. Thank you!
