Overall the takeaway is that it is overpriced for what it is. You're paying for an amazing location, the beach and water being so close and the amazing sunsets. The rooms look nice at first glance, but as you get closer things are done on the cheap, doors don't close, the fridge leaks, tiles are loose, there is a general lack of what you would expect at this price point. In addition, the first day we were there, items of clothing went missing from the room which resulted in us asking that we be taken off the housekeeping list for the rest of our stay. It was very unnerving to kick off the trip that way and no one was ever able to get to the bottom of what happened. Food was average, service was average, they nickle and dime you on everything. The beach staff were lovely, but front-desk and breakfast staff seemed to barely tolerate guests.

Currently still here and absolutely love our cottage! Worth every dime. Just wish they would make sure our cabana is reserved like beach house. We have to fight for a cabana from other guests and others that are not guests. We are not the only ones that have voiced this suggestion. If we pay for a cottage we shouldn’t have to trek down the beach from our expensive cottage because people who move our towels want our cabana. Just a suggestion. Today we were lucky enough to get one and people who don’t even stay at the hotel took another one nearby from a neighbor of ours and as well had the audacity to tell us to turn down our low key music.

We spent four nights at Coral Sands over spring break in early April with two teenagers. The hotel staff was always friendly and welcoming, offering to answer any question or help out with requests or recommendations. The beach is beautiful with the chairs and umbrellas readily available; thankfully it isn’t the kind of resort where people wake up and put books down at sunrise! The rooms were in fine condition, if a little dated with soft mattresses. The TV was an odd situation with select channels available and some internet access for netflix/amazon but we couldn’t out how to access…and didn’t think to ask for help because we only tried to watch tv just before bed. The balcony in the room was a pleasant place to enjoy a morning cup of coffee or a late afternoon cocktail. The pool was pleasant but we didn’t spend much time there. The beach restaurant was fantastic, the fish tacos and mahi mahi sandwich, as well as greek salad and chicken special were all enjoyable. The lobster BLT was fine but it did not live up to high expectations. Late afternoon happy hour at Tom’s bar was great with friendly service and nice views, it never got too crowded while we were there. My understanding is that resort has changed owners and is closing for 6months for renovations and updates. There are some minor things that could use updating but I hope they don’t change too much of the overall setting.

We enjoyed dinner very much. Food was amazing certainly best table on the island. Quality ingredients, nice presentation. Totally gourmet! Good service. We really appreciated the whole experience. Thank you Chef and staff.

Coral Sands staff is exceptional. Each seems consistently happy and is genuinely truly eager to help. The beds are perfect, and the beach is fantastic. A great place for couples or families. And, an excellent spot to fly fish – check out Bonefish Patrick!

Great beach. Great room and bed! Helpful staff at front desk. That’s the good. Very very expensive! Note water is a trap! $10 a bottle. Go to the store and get bigger bottles for $3! And they have an attitude if you don’t get water from them at meals. They give you about 10 0z free per person. It’s 95 degrees and 100% humidity. You need more water! Don’t fall I’m the trap! Food at the restaurant is poor

This was a wonderful trip by all accounts. We were there for 6 days and I have to say we've never spent this much on a hotel room before (around $500 a night). This included continental breakfast which was enough for me (fruit or granola, pastries, yogurt, tea or coffee). Breakfast from the menu looked good as well and was comparable in price to bakeries around the island (Arthur's and Cocoa Bakery) we went to both of these places and enjoyed the change and the smoothies at Cocoa's were great. The hotel itself is not air-conditioned and it is a bit tired in it's appearance and could use some updating, although I did love the island vibe. We were there at the hottest time of the year - August. The staff informed us that they would be closing in about 2 weeks. It seemed like they were hot and tired too possibly from a busy season. We also found out that the hotel had been recently sold, so perhaps the employees were worried about their jobs when it reopened. Our room was air-conditioned and it worked very well. The bathroom was HUGE including a soaking tub and a walk in shower, separate toilet area and one large sink. We were in a corner room with balcony overlooking the pool and ocean. Beautiful views and sunrises every morning with shutters to block the sun if you wanted to sleep in. We had lunch and dinner at the hotel and both were good. Everything is expensive so there's no reason to complain about the price as it is an island and has one of the world's top 5 beaches so considering this, not an issue. A few things could stand improvement. Complimentary coffee was good at the bar every morning but we had to ask for hot tea each day. After a couple of days they started to put the tea out but we still had to ask for hot water. Every morning. They were happy to bring it but it took some time to find someone and then they only brought it in a small container that made 2 cups. I guess being a former British Colony we expected there would be tea in the morning along with coffee. The staff was drinking tea each morning as well. The beach bar was only open during lunch and I didn't see anyone at the beach to order beverages or food from if you wanted to do that. The pool was beautiful, and everyday the seagulls enjoyed bathing in it on the infinity ledge, which made the lower pool area pretty dirty. I didn't see anyone cleaning it until the day before we left. With that and the temperature of the water being so hot, we didn't get in the pool other than the first day. It seemed to be enjoyable for the few families we saw there. While the Island is walkable, we enjoyed having a golf cart to get around to other places and we we had some good meals at Aquapazza, Blue Rooster Bar at Valentines, Cocoa's and Arthurs for breakfast, Queen Conch (we were the only ones there at 7 pm on a Thursday). Get there before 5 pm if you want conch salad. Conch is chewy in my opinion, but I did try it. We also had lunch at Ma Ruby's despite some poor reviews. It w
