Hotels near Mogao Grottoes, Dunhuang

The owner is an artist, so the hotel is very tasteful. It is only 500 meters away from the entrance of the scenic spot. In the morning, I took soybean milk and fried dough sticks from the Muslim restaurant downstairs to the rooftop to watch the camel team on Mingsha Mountain. It was very beautiful. The room was also very clean.

The hotel is very close to Mingsha Mountain Crescent Spring and can be reached in ten minutes on foot. The room is very special, like living in a cave, with a soup pool, very novel and very experience. The best thing is that there is also a washing machine. I am sweating when I come back from Mingsha Mountain. I can wash my clothes and dry them in the yard. It is really intimate. The hotel service was also very attentive. We returned to the room very late after visiting Mingsha Mountain. We called the front desk at 12 o'clock in the night and responded quickly. There are certainly shortcomings. If you mind that there is no natural light, it is not recommended to book, because the cave-themed room has no windows. In addition, breakfast is a bit far from where you live, and there are not many choices.

The location is outside the City center in a green ,lush,very quiet environment and very close the Singing mountains . The hotel is built and equipped in traditionell style. The breakfast is made of fresh and high quality dishes in local style. Absoluty outstanding was the hospitality and the help with information, transportation and even more ..we could experience places , got information about the local live, the history of Dunhuang and much more. Departing was like leaving friends behind. Special thanks to Mr. HU his son, the landlords and to Candy. Hope to visit that place and the awesome stay again.

I had 4 nights stay and liked this hostel room spacecious and clean. The owner 'Siao Fang' is very friendly and helpful even knowledgeable if any queries, he would delighted to share and guide you. The cleaning ladies help to clean the room daily and replenishment are sufficient. Hostel in a strategic location about 15 mins walk to D'un Huang night market and you can catch local buses to cressant desert with only RMB2 and Mogao Cave RMB5 only. It is a worth for value and if I have a chance to be back to here in future, this definitely would be my first choice by heart and strongly recommend to all my friends. The hotel is located near the local Dang River. You can go for a walk after dinner in the evening. Some facilities on the river are also very unique. The room is larger than other hotels of the same price, with dry and wet separation, clean and tidy. The service awareness of the service staff is very good, and they will greet each other with a smile. The breakfast is delicious, with many varieties, and the coffee is also delicious. The restaurant next to the hotel is delicious. This hotel is a good choice to visit the Mogao Grottoes in Dunhuang.

During the summer vacation, my friends and I came to visit Dunhuang, which we have longed for. The hotel we chose was okay based on the reviews. We just arrived at the hotel. The check-in procedure was quick and efficient. The lady at the front desk also thoughtfully introduced the special restaurants around the hotel, gave away free fruits, and briefly introduced the surrounding attractions. Moreover, the hotel is very close to Danghe River, Dunhuang Bookstore, and Dunhuang Museum. Convenient to travel. Whether you are shopping or playing, you can meet your needs.

Compared with other hotels in the same environment during the holiday, the price-performance ratio is really good. There is a parking lot underground, which is more convenient for self-driving.

The service was exceedingly good at ZhongZhou hotel. I stayed with my wife and had a second room for my daughter and son in law. The lobby always had someone to open doors/press the elevator button for guests. What really stood out to me was the attitude of the workers. Breakfast typically starts at 7, when I mentioned I had to leave at 6:15, the worker at the restaurant told me to come early, and she would have it ready for me. Unfortunately no fitness center but the laundry room was a plus. There were also plenty of washing machines (no dryers). This hotel truly felt like a second home. The rooms and beds were also comfortable and clean. A fantastic stay overall, would definitely stay here again.

I have travelled a lot in China the last 5 years. This is probably one of the best hotels I have been. Clean, comfortable, close to everything, very nice staff. Have everything you need in the room. They leave you presents in the room, have all the free drinking water you need, free apples, just excellent welcome feeling. They go as far as pointing the shower head to the side everytime they clean the room so you don't get wet when you turn on the shower. More expensive and luxurios hotels have a lot to learn from these guys. Just excellent.

The camping location is surrounded by desert. It is very therapeutic to enjoy the desert scenery while riding an off-road motorcycle. It is quiet and comfortable. The tent is very clean. Be sure to wear beautiful clothes. Taking photos will give you a sense of luxury. Remember to take your belongings with you so that your companion’s phone can be found in the desert. No, some CDs and entertainment items are very fun and worth experiencing!
