We were hoping this would be a great hotel due to the location of the hotel near Tyger River for baseball tournaments. However, we were very disappointed both times we stayed here in the past two years. The first time we booked, there was a leak in the gym. They had dehumidifiers in the hallway to try and remove the moisture in the air because it was so bad. It smelled musty. We overlooked the issue though and didn't complain. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was good during this time. The bathroom in the king suite had mold in the shower and on the ceiling. Also, the flooring tile and grout was either not done properly or has come loose, but we didn't complain. The second time we booked in July 2025, they were doing renovations in the entire lobby and half of the eating area. I'm not complaining they they were doing them, however, at the time we booked, there were no notices, nor were we notified before we arrived. As we are checking in and expressing our concerns, the staff told us that they had notices online for 3 months. However, I know that was not true when we booked two months prior. No offers for the inconvenience were provided. Then during checkout, the staff told us that would be impossible to even have that notice up that early due to when renovations were scheduled. Therefore, they apparently lied to us and did not, at the minimum, and again no offer for anything in return for the inconveniences. This time, the king suite room we booked also had mold in the bathroom and same with the tile flooring. While the AC worked in the living area, the unit in the bedroom was so loud, so we were unable to use. The AC in the hallway must have been malfunctioning as well bc you could feel the temperature difference. For breakfast, half of the eating area was unavailable due to the renovations and plastic (which we appreciated) hanging to try and keep the debris contained from the renovation, however it was difficult to sit and eat due to the limited seating. Parking here is already limited but extreme limited this time because several dumpsters were taking up 5+ parking spots in the front and side lot by the pool. I did not leave a review the first time because we understand that things happen. However after being lied to and not notified of the renovations, we thought it was necessary to leave a review to let others know that this would not be our first recommendation for the area. We unfortunately will not be booking at this location next tournament or visit to the area because it seems that this location will be working on renovations for a while. So far, out of the multiple stays we have booked with Hilton, Statesboro was your best location and this location is the worst on the list. Even the simple things like offering water or snacks would have been appreciated, but nothing was offered.

Janay was so helpful and kind. The room was clean and nice. Very friendly atmosphere. Easy check in! We will definitely be back!
