Decided to try the restaurant at the Abbotsford as we hadn't been in over 7 years. We were met by a friendly staff member who gave us the choice of restaurant or lounge for eating in. Waiting staff were very friendly and knew the menu inside out. Our drinks were served super fast. We order three courses and can honestly say that the food is the best we have tried in the area. Food hot, well presented & plenty of it. This establishment has a good vibe going and it is very comfortable and enjoyable to eat it. Managed to have a wee chat with the manager who was open, honest and very humble in his and his staff's achievements. If you haven't been it is definitely worth a visit, i promise it wont disappoint.

A lovely friendly Hotel, with extremely helpful staff in all areas. Room was nice and clean. Hotel was in an excellent location, Loch Lomond just 5 miles down the road. Breakfast was good value for money and the music played at breakfast time was spot on, just what you needed to start your day off the right way.

We were met by the manager of the Abbotsford hotel almost immediately and he generously welcomed us and made us feel welcome. Although the building may appear older on the outside, the inside is up to date and comfortable. We had drinks in the bar(relaxing as we listened to locals chew the fat) and then dinner which was very good. The menu is diverse and reasonable. If ever in the area again, I’d stay here.

Went here for a Birthday meal with my mother, brother and sister in law. The service was first class. Never waiting long and nothing was too much trouble. 3 of us had 3 courses and the other had 2. Clean plates. Compliments to the chef. Been here a few times and never been disappointed. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are spot on. Plenty of parking is also a plus.

Decided on an impromptu dinner last night (Tuesday 04th March) as we'd not visited for years & it didn't disappoint. We were greeted by the nicest waitress (never got her name, but she had short black hair). She was very clued up on the menu & advised us well on our choices. (Chicken enchiladas & creamy cajun chicken) She even apologised for the wait on our drinks....imo they weren't slow to arrive at all. Now the food....that came out very quickly & was presented well. Big portions & the nicest hand-made chips we've had. I couldn't finish all of mines & the waitress brought out a fantastic wee reusable container to decant myleftovers in. I had them tonight & they tasted even better! We will definitely be back again soon & once again have to mention the waitress who was just so lovely, definitely an asset to the place.
