Hotels with Breakfast in Duisburg

Great hotel situated by the Marina/harbour and ideally placed for the city centre. Exceptionally clean and very comfortable hotel. Excellent and varied choice breakfast buffet. Staff went out of their way to be helpful and very friendly. Would have no fears about recommending this hotel.

Excellent hotel, greatly located just next to Duisburg Main Station. Modern, calm, close to public transportation. Hotel security is excellent, access is controlled 24 hours, facility accessible only for hotel guests. The team is very attentive, professional, efficient and well trained. Room size is bigger than standard for same hotel category. The hotel is very clean, both the public areas and the room. Bathroom modern and well equipped. I will definitely stay there again next time in the area. Definitely with my recommendations.

I stayed in this hotel on a business trip. The hours of the breakfast on Sunday are terrible (7-10am). Nothing else is open for breakfast near the hotel. They need to stay open later. The front desk staff are very rude. On my 3 interactions with them, they could care less about the needs of a guest. I am a Hilton Diamond member and Marriott Titanium member and am use to a hotel that focuses on customer service. Even simple things like towels are a problem here. There was no iron or ironing board in the roof so I called the front desk. The woman said they have them at the front desk and to come down and retrieve it. I went immediately down and was told sorry, they don't have anymore. Good luck getting washcloths. The website claims that guests and hotel staff are required to wear masks in all public areas. However, ever single time I passed by the front desk, regardless of time or who was behind the desk, the front desk clerks were NEVER wearing their masks. The hotel would NOT recommend staying here!

We had to book 2 rooms for our family of 5 when booking online, but when I checked in I was told we had family rooms which would have accommodated the 5 of us (baby sleeps in our bed). But they wouldn’t let me cancel the second room, so we basically paid double. They also don’t have interconnected rooms, so we were placed 16 rooms apart. The rooms were clean and the bathrooms were spacious. We stayed for a night during the 40 degree heatwave so we really appreciated the AC in the rooms and going to the small indoor pool to cool down. Breakfast had a good selection of food and lots of fruit.

Visited as part of a Scottish Hockey Team, 21 of us in total, most stayed here, but a couple stayed across the road, we saw a double room It was small no air conditioning but still a decent room. Friendly checkin from luvly welcoming staff, on the Thursday evening when we arrived, the two ladies on reception were very efficient at checking us in, also very good serving us drinks once everyone had returned from having dinner. Other teams were also staying, so the place was very busy during the tournament. We had room 508, which was luvly, spacious, and clean with plenty shelving and wardrobe space, a safe and a fridge. with a view of the gardens. The bathroom was spacious with good storage areas for toiletries, makeup, etc. a decent hairdryer and magnifying mirror, and a good shower, the room was cleaned daily to a very high standard. Breakfast was buffet style, with plenty of food on offer, fruit juices, fruit, cereals, cold meat, cheese, bread/rolls/croissants, fried eggs, sausages, bacon and scrambled eggs. Coffee machine and various teas so something for everyone, breakfast staff worked very hard during the 3 mornings when ourselves and other teams arrived at the same time. We sat outside which was really nice in the garden area. The hotel has luvly comfy seats and seating areas to relax in, also nice pictures on the walls. Reception staff were very helpful ordering us taxis to go to our games. A couple of evenings we njoyed drinks in the bar area, again the staff were friendly and chatty. We stayed an extra 3 days, just to see the area and visit museums, shops etc. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return next year. :) :)

We wouldn't even visit this one night at the hotel for a private celebration. The horrible end was the locked breakfast that cannot be harmonised with the price called. At the neighbouring table a lady asked for a grain bread, this was denied. There was no breakfast buffet, but was served after a order! How long the sauce and cheese had been “uncooled” at the table, of course, it is not possible to see. I find this inappropriate and obvious austerity under the cover “Corona” completely in addition, as well as the very (!) unfriendly service (grey hair) in the dining room. There would be an urgent need for coaching! Humanly defect! Unfortunately, the limited time for breakfast was not informed us in advance. The speech with the notice was accordingly unprofessional and aggressive. I have not experienced something after countless hotel stays. I ask quite simple and simple things: friendliness (not cost). A suitable choice at breakfast! Conclude: Coaching staff (friendly) ++++++ Improve breakfast performance because it is defect. Note: Whoever wants to have breakfast in a pleasant and friendly environment in the morning and wants to find a “normal” selection is wrong here!

Our fourth stay at the Duisburg Ibis. Convenient location, friendly staff, simple but adequate room and clean facilities. Tram and train station very close, also a lot of stores, restaurants and small food vendors near the hotel

Centrally located in Duisburg’s Old Town, this family-run hotel lies just 500 metres from the harbour. Hotel Mirage offers free WiFi throughout, and private parking and a lockable room to store bicycles are available on site. The bedrooms are carpeted and feature a classic décor and wooden furniture. A40 and A59 motorways are both a 3-minute drive away. Steinsche Gasse Tram Stop is 400 metres away and Duisburg Main Station is 2 km from Hotel Mirage.
