Fairfield Inn & Suites Dublin

PLEASE AVOID THIS LOCATION! I was initially given a hotel room of lower quality than I had reserved and paid for. I made the front office agent aware of this, and I was told that I would be switched to another room in the morning (which is today) as they were sold out last night. Upon entering the room, I noticed mold in the bathroom and a severe musty smell throughout. Due to dealing with the lack of customer service, I contacted Marriott Bonvoy Customer Service phone and shared my experience. I was told by the Marriott Bonvoy that I could contact a manager I called the front desk again this morning to speak with a manager, and I was told that the manager was not in but would arrive at 930 am. I asked the front desk agent if I could switch rooms, and they informed me that they had available rooms. The manager would be happy to assist me with the change. I informed the front desk agent that I had a meeting, but I would return around noon. I arrived back at the hotel at 1215. I stood at the front desk waiting for Shanta (Assistant General Manager) to address me as she sat idly at a desk in an office behind the front desk counter. She came out of the office, addressed a man walking back into the hotel, and then returned to the office. I asked her if she was a manager, and she replied yes. I told her my name, and she said, “We don’t have any rooms, and you will not get a refund. I saw your case”. I told her that I won’t be staying in any room with mold, and I was told twice by two separate agents that I can switch to another room due to the mold, and she said, “Oh, well, the rooms we had are gone, and here is your receipt”. She placed my receipt on the counter, but it flew off onto the floor. Given that I am not an animal, I did not pick it up off the ground. As a Gold Elite Bonvoy Member, I have never experienced this type of behavior from any of the Marriotts that I have stayed in here in the United States and internationally. It saddens me to receive this type of treatment because it is not indicative of the Marriott Brand.

Clean hotel. Beds were a little hard

The staff was fine. The room was excellent. I only spent one night due to having a stroke while in the bathroom on Valentine's Day in the motel. I am going to give it another try as soon as I can though.

Very easy check in and clean rooms.

The property is nice and in a good location. My only 2 issues is the bathroom not being clean. There toilet had black stuff around the rim and the shower wasn’t that clean. Bed was comfortable and the breakfast was ok. Will still stay again
