We were greeted with friendly staff and a complimentary room upgrade. From then on it all went south. When entering our room it had an unpleasant smell. Due to driving a larger vehicle we had to reverse park. Signage did say "no reverse parking however due the large work vehicle with tools and large overhang at the rear this was our best option. We woke to a rude note on our vehicle window "can you not read or are you just a d***".

Not a good experience at The Palms, Dubbo. Decor in the room was tired, and paint chipped. The heating didn't work, and there was no soap or shampoo in any of the dispenser units in the bathroom. I also phoned from London to tell them that my flight had been cancelled, so I couldn't take up my booking for the first night. BUT they still charged me for the night I hadn't used.

The staff were kind and helpful. Needed to hire an additional bed and was not a problem.
Location is great. Close to family favourite fast food restaurants.

Rooms are very spacious and beds very comfortable. Customer service is fantastic at the Palms. I had mistakenly booked the wrong night (arrived a day later, entirely my mistake). The man at reception didn’t flinch and changed my booking to the next night, no questions asked. He toen offered to carry my suitcase up the stairs, and the next day the cleaner did as well! That was the kind of friendliness and hospitality I needed after a long drive. Would 100% recommend staying here!

There was mould in the bathroom and also a leaking shower head.
The sheets had stains all over them and the mattress sunk into the middle
