Holiday Inn & Suites Bolingbrook

The word to describe this Holiday Inn is “sufficient”. The room was an average size with a king bed, desk and chair, occasional chair with ottoman, cabinet with fridge, microwave, dresser/cabinet with tv on top, two night stands. There was also a single cup coffee maker with 2 regular and 2 decaf K cups and two English Breakfast tea bags. No decaf or herbal tea bags. Three packets of sugar/creamer/stir stick/small napkin. No safe. There was one suit case rack so we put the second case on the ottoman. Carpet felt icky. The bathroom was average size with pump bottles of soap, shampoo and conditioner. There were enough tissues and toilet paper. We had 2 wash clothes, hand towels and bath towels: just enough for two people, except they were scratchy and on the thin side. Breakfast was not included, which surprised me, as the first night we used points for our room, and paid $140+ for the second night. Lobby and halls were clean and smelled fresh rather than musty or like cleaners/chemicals. The landscaping was mostly kept up. No trash or weeds in view. We chose to stay at this location rather than the Holiday Inn at Romeoville which was closer to our destination, because Bolingbrook location took our points, unlike the Romeoville location.

Let me say I loved it! The favorite part were the people who work there and 2nd the jacuzzi! Beds were comfy; slightly firm for me but comfy and very clean. I was there for a Celebration of Life Ceremony and the people there helped my brother and me; my brother and his wife also stayed and enjoyed it. Pool water was cool; I'm blessed with a pool in FL so used to it being a little warmer but the jacuzzi was awesome; nice jets and temperature was great and relaxing.1 Needed that. I don't have names handy so I hope to call corporate or something and ask them to be recognized for Outstanding service. I do remember the wonderful manager I spoke with named Beth; she was great and someone I would proudly work for if I was not a retired Air Force veteran and I lived there. But,I highly recommend it. The breakfast was ok; I'm a little boujee on breakfast. The board was rented for $265 with tax for 24 hours!!! We had our Celebration of Life ceremony for my Mama that I miss dearly who passed away the day before I arrived there; I kept my composure when I was not alone until I got to the last day; stayed for 5 days. I was in tears checking out but I just wanted to say they treated me like a queen and I'd definitely stay there again.

This is a basic hotel. There is only a small waiting area for visitors. No restaurants are within walking distance requiring you drive for anything you need. No change of linen unless you pay extra. The room was clean, but rugs in the rooms and hallways have been replaced with wood floors making noise carry from the halls and other rooms. if you have good neighbors in adjoining rooms no problem, but one loud resident next to or above you can make resting difficult. The hotel’s low cost is reflected in the lack of room enmities. The only items provided were the ususal soap and shampoo, so bring your own tissue and other personal needs. Rooms have a small kitchen but if you wish to cook you must pay extra for utensils. There is a laundry which was clean and machines were all working. The front desk closes at 8 PM if you have a problem after that you must call someone. There was a phone in my room but I couldn't get it to work. My Last night there the smoke alarm battery in the hall must have died and the darn thing beeped every 5 minutes from midnight til someone at the front desk could be notified- no one is on duty until 8 AM. Obviously no sleep that night. Again, this is a BASIC place to stay at a low cost.

This was a family trip due to a death in the family. Stay was approximately two weeks. We had ample time to use many areas and observe at this property. Needed a clean, quiet, comfortable hotel. This hotel delivered on all fronts. The employees are all cheerful, helpful and hard working. We enjoyed the made to order breakfast as well as dinner and cocktails. All very delicious. A well run property. Near I-55, but not too close to hear any traffic. Have stayed at this hotel previously and will stay again. Highly recommend. If you stay at this hotel, be sure to say hi to Ebony at the front desk. She’s a stand out employee!
