My husband and I stayed here overnight recently, and loved it! Both the inn and our room (the Duchess) were clean and beautifully decorated, and our host, Jim, was friendly and a lot of fun to talk to. Although we opted for a light breakfast, since we were having tea there at 11:30, what we did have was delicious and nicely presented. The breakfast options (included) were plentiful - you had a choice of four different juice starters, four different main courses (crepes, egg cups, quiche, or a breakfast sandwich), bacon or sausage, and eight different types of sides (I had an English muffin). You can also order alcoholic "libations" for an additional fee. Also included during our stay was 24-hour access to a complimentary coffee and tea station, with numerous loose leaf teas to choose from, along with plenty of teapots and mugs - a nice touch for tea lovers! The afternoon tea we had before we left was also wonderful. October's theme was "Hocus Pocus," with related decor and menu. We had the "Duchess," which includes soup, three savories, a caramel apple scone with apple butter and devonshire cream, and four desserts (they even placed a candle in one of the cupcakes, since we were celebrating our anniversary). Everything was wonderful - especially the petit fours, best I've ever had - and it was reasonably priced at $36 per person (if you are staying at the inn you receive a 10% discount). Our friendly, super accomodating and helpful hostess was even dressed in costume - a fun, added touch! We enjoyed ourselves so much, and definitely plan to return in the near future.
