The last time that I was in the Isle of Man was 40 years ago! It hasn't altered much, which is a good thing IMO, however, what has changed is the standard of accommodation and the approach of the accommodation owners. This B&B is ideally located in the heart of Douglas; walking to the beach, the main shopping area, places to eat and drink and to seek out entertainment is easy and Cindy will point you to your ideal, as she is so knowledgeable about the island. I stayed for a long weekend, along with a friend and we occupied the whole of the first floor. The accommodation is flexible and can accommodate a single person, through to a family of four. Kitchen and bathroom facilities are more than generous and you can come and go whenever you wish. The IOM is a small island, but does exhibit extremes of geography and weather (see the TT!). The facilities that Cindy provides will ensure that whatever the weather, you can have clean dry clothes after your endeavours. If you take a vehicle, parking is not impossible, but don't expect to pull up outside any venue; however it is 'free'. Cindy is a superb host and her partner, James will provide you with all that you need to know about the ferries to and from the island. Finally, don't pass the Fairy Bridge without saying 'hello' to the Little People as that will ensure a safe, enjoyable holiday and your eventual return, even after 40 years,
