Hotel location is lovely set off the road behind a riding school and the staff are friendly
You have to pay for your meals as you go along as you cannot add anything to your hotel bill.
Water, biscuits and face cloth were not consistently replenished

We stayed on Sunday 20th July, delightful staff good welcome. Superior room was ok, but 2 staines on carpet that could easily been removed by scrubbing. Paintwork was full of grease staines on wall, maybe wiped off or repainted? No coffee machine nothing but Clipper instant coffee I know clipper is quite good as standard but 4* maybe not, for the price not acceptable. Flies everywhere in restaurant for evening meal and breakfast, in fact fly was in the plastic hygiene dome on meats & cheeses, was put off! Terrible breakfast, eggs over cooked and cold, don't know what happened to the bacon? Was it batch cooked? Fat was white no crisp everything else ok on plate apart from extra helping of flies, had to ask for drink, considering we were the only people in the breakfast room? This is an amazing place its such a shame this happens because all it takes is attention to details, remember owners your customers are king, staff need training don't let the chef rule you!

The Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great, good variety and efficient service. Room functional, clean and shower great. External gardens were beautiful. I would recommend this hotel if staying in the area. Thank you.

We had our first team meeting here on the 2nd July, and it was a lovely experience. The facilities are great for small or larger teams, plenty of space to have breaks and get some fresh air (and photos). The food was really nice, portions were good and there was variety. One of our team members had a specific dietary requirement which was catered for at no extra effort. The team, particularly the events team Meg, Laura and Erin are great with communication and an easy booking process. Gabrielle, who worked with us on the day, is an absolute credit as she was hands on, supported getting set up and so friendly. Everyone was friendly, and although we finished early, there's a relaxing atmosphere in the bar with plenty of seating indoors and outside. Only thing that would have made this absolutely perfect is other refreshments provided at lunch besides water, but that's just a taste issue as opposed to the service we received. Looking forward to coming back :)

Stayed here for work and I cannot fault anything. Friendly and professional staff. Comfortable rooms, bathroom has a powerful shower. Food was fantastic for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It’s a shame there’s no gym or leisure facilities but given it’s clear what’s on offer on their website, I can’t quibble.

Had a fabulous afternoon tea for my birthday! All the staff were so helpful and friendly and made us lots of tea! The afternoon tea was fabulous, delicious sandwiches and homemade cakes. I was given a beautiful happy birthday message iced on to a plate with a little cake too. Thank you so much for going above and beyond to make my birthday so special, had a wonderful day! We’ll be back soon!
