The hotel located in the middle of nowhere,but it’s still doing a good service and nice spot to stay..they also prepare a dessert platter for birthday,it’s awesome

I was in the area and had to stop in to see this property. Went through the golf shop looking for a shirt to buy but unfortunately could not find one I fancied. I went to the restaurant bar and had a Guinness. The staff were very nice and attentive. I would like to come back and stay here. It’s a little bit out in the country and not really easy to get to( I was staying in Dublin).

We held a family memorial in the restaurant/bar on Saturday afternoon. The service was awful. Maybe the waiter was being a bit over eager but we had barely sat down and not all our party had joined and we were being asked about our order. It was very rushed. People had barely finished eating their starter and their plates were whisked away. Again it was all very rushed. We were not able to take our time over the purpose of our visit. Similarly as soon as the starters were finished the main course was brought out and there was no time for us to sit and chat and relax between courses. Several of the party ordered the lamb for the main course. Unfortunately the meat was very very dry (commented on by everybody in the party that had ordered it). I personally had the salmon which was quite tasty after it was recooked properly as the first time it came out the outside was done but the inside parts were not fully cooked. The occasion was a memorial for a family member so it was unfortunate that despite the beautiful setting and the lovely decor it was not a pleasurable experience for us.

Best experience of my life! The staff here are INCREDIBLE, total rockstars of customer service and luxury. They organized my daily activities and even handled scheduling my transports from the hotel to each one like dinner or beauty. I absolutely loved my stay here. The suites are divine absolutely amazing accommodations. The golf course is the best in the world! Shout out to Trudy as well who helped me so much during my stay, but everyone was really really amazing. I cannot wait to go back in October. The spa was lovely as well! The food here was also DIVINE. Horse riding on the beach was so lovely, it was all just an amazing experience the way Ireland should be. This might be one of the last resorts and areas of the country that truly represents an IRISH IRELAND, just spectacular.

We stayed here early April, and it was an amazing experience. Our room was in the courtyard by the main front entrance, and it was jaw-dropping. Open plan sitting room and bedroom area led to a huge bedroom that had en exit out onto the beach. Another luxurious bedroom was also locked up the stairs which has spectacular views from the balcony. Delighted to see Samsung TVs in various rooms! Hopefully,someday, Samsung smart appliances will also go into the kitchen as well!

Stayed and played a round of golf at the golf links and hotel in Doonbeg. Overall the experience was well below what one would expect from an alleged 5 star facility. Firstly the golf course. While the course per say is a nice links course and well laid out the greens are so poor and simply rock bottom in terms of standards. The ball hops and bobbles all over the place. Really poor maintenance and serious lack of investment in the course upkeep. Countless courses in the west of Ireland far superior and a lot cheaper. As for the hotel, I had the breakfast lunch and dinner while there and none of it was pleasurable or memorable. All bland and what you would get and expect of typical pub grub. No buffet breakfast on offer. In summary very over priced and under whelming. Spend your money and time elsewhere. The whole place is tired and lacks serious investment and upkeep.
