The rooms, staff and food were brilliant, but paying over £300 a night for no, spa, pool or gym seemed a bit much so not giving 5 stars

I've experienced the food and hospitality in a few occasions and this was my first overnight. The whole experience is 5 star. There is a special ambience all over the hotel and it remains a super location to relax, unwind and have a wonderful time.

We had purchased a dinner+B&B package to celebrate a special anniversary, spending a bit extra to ensure a good room.. Unknown to us, a relation phoned the hotel in advance to add to our package and the hotel of its own accord upgraded our room to a suite and added a plate of chocolate&dipped strawberries as a welcome gift together with a hand-written card marking our special anniversary.. The hotel and services were beautiful and the fixed-price dinner was a delight with little added extras to the menu such as a small cup of soup and a sorbet to cleanse the palate before the main course. In the hotel dining room, we were given a window table with a view of the lake and had the added pleasure of seeing a bride & groom walking to the lakeside for photos etc. The buffet breakfast the next morning was also very satisfying though we did not avail of the chef on hand to make fresh pancakes or omelettes. One of the drawbacks of a lakeside setting in warm still weather is flies and we were bothered by these in our suite which lacked air-conditioning with only two small velux roof windows to open to cool the room on a very warm night. Even though we were up on 3rd floor, we had to close these windows to keep out flies and make use of a large desk fan tuning all night to keep flis at bay. As it was, we were annoyed all night by flies landing on our exposed arms etc, a distraction to what was overall a pleasant celebration of our special anniversary.

Superb location. Had a few issues with accommodation in the lodge which were dealt with in a way that surpassed our expectations. Great customer service from a particular young lady on reception, blond hair, apologies did not get the name. Would return again and recommend to others.

This is a stunning hotel set in beautiful landscape with every staff member accounted lovely, efficent and most obliging. We were staying in the lodges (making it affordable) ,they are very compact as described but attention to detail is not scrimped. No slippers/robes/fridge but very nce little bathroom touches. One complaint - very warm rooms bordering on too hot. Dont think i would have been able for a second night. Dinner in the bar was lovely, fab views with breakfast in the lounge - probably the best i have had. Every choice available and top quality ingrediants. to note, last call for bar drinks on a sunday was 11pm. This is a special spot and soo worth a visit, especially if you stay in the main section of the hotel. Shall be back!

We have gone to Harvey’s point for years and have loved the food and surrounding but we went there for lunch and shared it with flies in July of this year it was not that nice to be honest. I talked to the management on my way out to be told that they had the pest control in to sort it but obviously left several of them behind. Not sure if they cared so returning there is something I need to think about. So disappointed as we DID like the place. Perhaps lough Eske might have no flies when we are there next time.

Harvey’s Point is like a little gem tucked away on the beautiful shores of Lough Eske. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay between the picturesque setting to the delicious meals and comfy beds with spacious rooms. Would also like to add the staff from meeting Ailish at reception and our lovely chef that made our Omelete in the mornings….we couldn’t have felt more spoilt. We will be returning for sure!

Harvey's Point has a fabulous reputation. This being our first time ever to stay. I'm delighted to report that our expectation of having a fabulous experience was met with aplomb. It's great when your expectations are met. Thees minute you arrive you are greeted with a smile from welcoming staff. We had the full dining experience of thd four course dinner menu with a lovely Zinfandel a real treat beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. I would also consider it value for money for the experience. The staff are so attentive and charming to deal with.

From the moment of arrival and the warm welcome at reception by Eilish , to the room orientation by Shane , to the wonderful dinner and our waiter Hugh, Harveys Point has it all , luxurious rooms , with great spacious restaurants and bars with each area recentlty renovated very tastefully Harveys Point has it all . The staff are all outstanding and at every turn a member of the hotel staff is checking in on you. I would highly recommend Harveys Point as a destination for anyone visiting Donegal as this Hotel beats any 5 Star Hotel.
