Mount Royd Country Home

It seems sort of out of the way, but it is really easy to get to many places from here (Derry, Letterkenny, most of Co. Donegal). We spent three nights using it as a base to explore Donegal. We loved it. The interior matches its exterior and is decorated with old world charm. If doilies and China cups bother you, maybe go somewhere else, but we loved the opportunity to experience this. Josephine and Charlie were amazing hosts. Breakfast was extensive and the most delicious we had during our 4 week exploration of Ireland. It changed just a little bit every morning and included eggs from there backyard chickens. The homemade breads were the best! Bed and bedding were comfortable. The room was beautiful. We had everything we needed though I did not notice a hair dryer.

Just back from 3 night stay in this beautiful bnb .What a fabulous place Luxurious bedrooms with t h e best bed wear towels shampoos n shower gels .Breakfast is 5 star here best breakfast we ever had anywhere .Gardens are stunning here .Josephine n Charlie are brilliant hosts they really look after their guests .You always get a great welcome with tea n cakes . Great base for touring around Donegal n Derry .

You will not find a more welcoming B n B in all of Ireland....nor a better breakfast!! It's a wonderful old house filled with antiques and memorabilia. There's no mistaking the fact that this is a genuine family home, lived in, relaxed and comfortable. Josephine and Charlie ought to be given an award for their hospitality! A real bonus is the proximity to Derry, only 15 minutes away, giving you a more relaxed and more affordable option to staying in the city. A winner in every way.

This home is absolutely lovely! Filled with antiques and spotlessly clean, Josephine and Charlie are impeccable host's. They were so informative and we were very thankful for their suggestions. Our room and bed were spotless and super comfortable. The breakfast was unbelievable! It was all freshly created in their kitchen each morning. WOW! Wonderful home and hosts. You WON'T be disappointed 💚

It was brilliant .Breakfast here is amazing rows of bowls of all kinds of fresh fruits .Cooked breakfast delicious home made brown bread n my favourite apple scones .Everything about this b nb is 5 star .Josephine n Charlie are the best hosts they really know how to look after their guests .If you haven't stayed here you must you won't be disappointed .Best b nb in ireland .
