The Cove Tasmania

We recently stayed for 2 nights at The Cove just outside of Devonport. They have different rooms available but we stayed in a 1 bedroom villa on the Cliffside. All Rooms are very private, our view was out towards the ocean. The room was very large and bathroom well appointed. There was a lovely daybed outside the room but due to it being Winter, we didn't use it. There is a communal eating, cooking and lounging space. An honesty bar fridge in case you needed some wine to sip by the fire pit! We had an excellent coffee up at The Atrium cafe which again has a fabulous view. We cannot wait until they open their restaurant Basalt, around Spring of 2025. Such a fabulous stay...even saw a live penguin nesting just behind reception! Cannot recommend it enough! Great for a group to stay and you have all of the communal areas to hang out together! I will be back!!!

My daughters surprised me for my 50th with a Getaway, and what a Getaway.. We got there a little earlier than check in and decided to try the new The Atrium Cafe overlooking the beautiful water .Which had just opened. The food was absolutely amazing 5 stars. Very well presented, friendly staff. The chef knows her food. Can not fault our meals. You have to try for yourself to experience this amazing cafe open 7 days even to the public. Bookings are advised. I know I definitely will be back. Can not recommend enough. The Accommodation is second to none . You can not get enough of the views. Got to our room the Views. Wow, .everywhere you looked the water views are spectacular. The Soaking tub overlooks the ocean on your own private decking, which is the perfect place to relax and unwind. The place is so peaceful. Can not recommend The Cove enough.

My wife and I chose The Cove for our “baby-moon” and we couldn’t have been happier. Each room is beautifully designed blending modern luxury with natural elements over looking Tasmania’s best coastal views. The communal dining and living area is spacious and thoughtfully equipped with everything you need—whether you’re cooking up a feast, enjoying games with friends, or simply relaxing in a comfortable, inviting space of your own. The Cove is a true hidden gem of Tasmania and I highly recommend for your next romantic getaway.

The Cove is such a stunning place!! My work colleagues gave me this special gift of 2 nights of sheer relaxation surrounded by the most beautiful scenery. Accomodation had everything and more and the staff so friendly. An absolute must do!! We will be back.

If you want to experience post card views and surreal penguin encounters as well as ridiculous accommodation comforts then this is your place. We came here with high expectations and they were left for dead. This is heaven on earth and I am far from religious. We picked a day of all days to stay at this place and as the sun went down it kept getting better and better. Do yourself a favor and book this place. No kids, cheap drinks and 5 star everything. I can’t put into words what you get for your money. Kim the owner met us at reception and is such a humble welcoming warm personality with above and beyond customer service. Great local advice and her recommendations on where to eat were exceptional. Thank you so much.

We had a wonderful experience at The Cove. From the start, the customer service was exceptional. Kim gave us a warm and friendly welcome, followed by an informative tour of the property. All the staff were delightful; helpful, approachable, really cheerful. The property itself was perfectly clean, well-maintained, and set in a stunning location. The grounds were immaculate, with beautiful walks offering spectacular views. Spotting the cute penguins was a total bonus! Directions were clear and easy to follow, making The Cove easy to find. The cabin was incredibly comfortable, with a cosy bed that ensured a restful stay. We also loved what Kim and Bruce are doing with the extensions to the property. It’s exciting to see how much care and thought they’re putting into enhancing the experience for their guests. The Christmas gift bag was a lovely surprise; generous, and delicious. Overall, everything exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend The Cove for anyone seeking a relaxing getaway in a beautiful setting.
