My wife and I had a lovely stay at Borthwen B&B for a couple of nights. A warm welcome on arrival and shown to our room. The room was very clean and well kept Breakfast was also great, made to order and was delicious. A lovely spot in Dollgellau, would happily stay again and recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area.

Stayed with Colin & Lisa August 2025 & thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was spotlessly clean & had all the usual amenities: lovely tea tray, nice toiletries & hairdryer. Breakfast was tasty & set us up for the day. Plenty of parking spaces. Colin & Lisa couldn't have been more welcoming. Dolgellau is a vibrant town with lots of eateries, just be sure to book. It's well worth a visit.

We spent a night here on the way to collect our daughter from university and it was gorgeous right from the start. We were warmly greeted by Colin, and the B&B smelt divine as soon as you stepped inside. The decor was very tasteful and the room was gorgeous. The bed was just the right firmness and the bedlinen was so silky and cool and you got this amazing fragrance every time you turned over. Breakfast was excellent with really high quality ingredients. Just the right size that you were full but not stuffed. It's in a room with floor to ceiling windows and you can sit and watch the birds on the bird feeder. The gardens are lovely to sit out in and the town is less than 5 minutes walk away with plenty of really nice restaurants. We will definitely return as there seemed plenty to do in the area too!

The property and our room were spotless and had free parking. The location was excellent only five minutes from Dolgellau town centre and 10 miles from Barmouth. Colin and Lisa were charming hosts, Colin gave us lots of information on walks in the area and Lisa cooked an excellent breakfast. Although close to Dolgellau the property was nice and quiet. Will be booking again in the future.

Colin is a fantastic friendly host and the accommodation is bright, clean and nicely set out. We had hearty breakfasts and even had the pleasure of watching woodpeckers on the bird feeders in the morning. It is a short 5 minute walk into Dolgellau town centre and there is plenty of space for safe parking. We were on a motorbike touring trip but I'll be back with my better half soon.

Lisa and Colin are wonderful hosts and made our stay at Borthwen really enjoyable. Breakfast was lovely and had something for everyone. Would highly recommend this property if you are fortunate enough to be visiting the beautiful North Wales area.
