Prima hotel en restaurant. Geen enkel minpunt. Zeer vriendelijk personeel, schone kamer, prima gegeten. We hadden het Culinair arrangement en dat was op beide dagen uitstekend. Goedontbijt. Mooie uitvalsbasis om Dokkum te ontdekken, maar ook om bijvoorbeeld naar het Lauwersmeer te gan of De Alde Faenen.

Genuttigd: koffie, cappuccino, appeltaart met slagroom en cheesecake met slagroom. Koffie: goed gevulde kop, smaak gewoontjes, temperatuur lauw. Cappuccino: goed gevulde kop, smaak prima, wel dunne cremelaag, wel heerlijk warm. Appeltaart: grote punt, fabrieksgebak, spuitslagroom, na 4 minuten een plasje witte vloeistof. Cheesecake: eveneens niets bijzonders, slagroom zie boven, bbrrr. Bediening: top! Snel en vriendelijk. Je wordt niet als een nummer behandeld. Prijs: niet helemaal in verhouding met kwaliteit. Advies: investeer in echte slagroom en kwaliteitsgebak.

Ontvangst bij receptie/bar was zakelijk, niet erg hartelijk. Een welkomstwoord en interesse zou je een welkomst gevoel geven. Prijs / Kwaliteit verhouding voor Kamernr. 1...... deze zou ik niet voor een t****e keer willen. Bedden zijn ok. Kamer is op de 1ste verdieping waar ook een feestzaal zat en op moment van inchecken er een feest gepland was. Lekker uitrusten was er niet bij na een 2,5 uur durende autorit ivm de live band. Tevens was er ergens buiten een generator die dan weer zacht en dan weer wat luider zijn werk deed. Irritant en zeker s'nachts. De douche cabine vertoonde aan de randen veel shampoo/zeep resten wat niet erg hygiënisch oogde en was duidelijk in tijden niet schoongemaakt. Er is daar dan ook een melding van gemaakt. Verder niets meer van gehoord. Prijs was inclusief ontbijt en was acceptabel. Miste de scrambelt eggs en de bacon. Volgende keer maar een ander hotel of B&B uitproberen.

Met vrienden op bezoek bij vriend in Dokkum. Terugrijden naar het westen is niet echt handig. Dus wat wil je dan? Precies: een bed en een ontbijtje. En dat is wat het is. Weliswaar vermomd als bruine kroeg. En dat is leuk! Terras vol in de zon met de lekkerste biertjes trouwens ook.

Süßes Hotel direkt am Kanal und im Stadtkern, trotzdem ist es sehr ruhig. Frühstück ist Standard, leider sind die Eier kalt und die frische Wurst-/Käseauswahl sehr dürftig.
Parkmöglichkeit ca. 400 mtr. auf einem großen öffentlichen Parkplatz, dieser ist kostenfrei.

In de toegewezen kamer aan de voorzijde was lekkage door smeltende sneeuw. Het druppelde op de vloer. Ondanks dat de medewerkster het "maar een kleine lekkage" vond, konden wij verhuizen naar een andere kamer in een ander pand in een zijstraatje. De kamer was donker, koud, en klam en zeer sfeerloos en gedateerd gemeubileerd. Het alternatief was zo beroerd dat wij besloten, na overleg met de medewerkster, te vertrekken om een ander onderkomen te zoeken. In goed vertrouwen dat het netjes geregeld zou worden heb ik een mail gestuurd. Vanaf dat moment was de vriendelijkheid verdwenen en daarmee de service. Men vond de verhuizing een "upgrade naar een luxe 2-persoonskamer" en voldeed hiermee aan de voorwaarden. Enig gesprek was niet mogelijk, geen enkele restitutie behalve 3 euro toeristenbelasting. Wat een trieste bedoening! Gelukkig was het bij van der Valk in Drachten prima in orde, maar al met al een duur grapje dit. Tenzij je van oud en muf houdt en geen prijs stelt op service, zou ik dit hotel zeker niet aanraden.
