TownePlace Suites Dodge City

We always stay at Marriott but this one needs some major TLC. It’s rundown and dirty. Fold out sofa was full of food from a past guest. Sheets had holes in them. The breakfast was dismissal. There were mixed cereals in the cereal dispenser, no maple syrup, no toast/ bagels. Garbage cans were overflowing.

Paid a lot of money for my bathroom door not to even shut.

Clean place but kind of remote and a few things inconvenient.

Disappointed Check-in was amazing, staff upon check-in was accommodating and friendly. The hotel overall was clean and quiet. When booking the stay special accommodation was requested for housekeeping daily during our stay. We had been working all day in humid 102 degree weather and were excruciatingly tired after our first night expecting to come back to a cleaned room and the bed was not made nothing had been done. We did not complain as it was too late to do anything about something like that when its almost time for bed. It was truly disappointing. Breakfast was good. On our second night I stopped by the front desk and I asked about late check-out and a different staff member appeared annoyed and was snippy with reply. When you pay over $400 for 2 nights you expect better.

Foul smelling room We had two rooms for the night instead of one because of a mistake had been made by the hotel. When we got into one of the rooms it smelled disgusting and realized it was coming from the garbage disposal. The whole room had a foul smell all the way from the entryway into the bathroom. We called the front desk to see what they could do and at first it didn't seem like they really want to help, but after speaking with them more they were convinced to go out and get us some disposal cleaners. It was us and not an employee who tried to use the cleaner on the disposal only to find out it wasn't working. The disposals in all the hotel rooms should be checked on a regular basis to make sure that they are all in working condition. One of the rooms we didn't end up having to pay for because of all the issues which was appreciated, however the stay was very disappointing and will never stay there again.

Pretty good overall Pretty good hotel. Clean, but a bit run down. Breakfast was good. A bit far from the sights of the town, if you're visiting as a tourist.
