Aldiana Djerba Atlantide

My father booked a family holiday at this hotel for all of us. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. I live in Germany, and I came to Tunisia expecting a more authentic, traditional experience — but the atmosphere here felt overwhelmingly German. There was little to no Tunisian charm, culture, or hospitality in the environment. It felt like I had traveled all the way just to end up in a German resort. This was far from what I imagined or hoped for when visiting a beautiful country like Tunisia.

We visited Djerba in 2025 and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The accommodation was far below expectations – the room was outdated and dirty, and we even found a large cockroach inside. For the price we paid, this was completely unacceptable. The beach, although it could be beautiful, was full of horses and camels, which were allowed to roam freely and defecate on the sand, making the area unpleasant and unhygienic – especially for families with children. We also took part in a Sahara desert tour. While the landscape itself was breathtaking, the route was covered in plastic bottles and trash, which ruined the experience of being close to nature. Overall, based on the level of service, cleanliness, and general conditions, we cannot recommend this destination to travelers looking for a clean, comfortable, and truly relaxing holiday.
