Great fun, loved the animation team, always around to give us a good laugh. Lovely hotel as well with lots of activities always going on.

It's a long one but worth reading. So we are a family of 4 from the UK. We wanted an 11 night all inclusive holiday with guaranteed good weather and decent food/entertainment/beach etc without breaking the bank. Well we are 5 nights in and I can honestly say this place doesn't disappoint. We became increasingly concerned reading reviews that seemed fake. We needn't of worried. The place is spotless, the food great, a little repetitive yes but what do you expect at an all inclusive. There's always options, and it's well cooked, and presented beautifully. The staff are wonderful and truly do go out of their way. The entertainment team do not stop, we don't tend to get hugely involved but there's no pressure and to be honest we wanted to which is unheard of for us. The kids pool is spotless and has lifeguards, and kept out youngest (3) entertained. Overall you can not fault the place!! If your hesitant to book don't be. The people who moaned about A/C and no kids pool/beach bar came out of season and clearly didn't check the information readily available on the website.

A fantastic family friendly hotel with a wide choice of food, great staff, spa and fun activities. Restaurant Pros: lot of food on offer, various nights with theme: Sea food, Italian food etc Also a corner dedicated to local food, another with a range of salad and a wide range of deserts. Cons: best to go for food early on as it’s a buffet, even if food is replaced, seating place can become harder later on but not impossible. Some food (such as pasta, steak/meat, brick, pancakes) are done freshly right in front of you. Entertainment: Pros: each night there is a show/or karaoke. The bar serves drinks and younger kids get to have their own show earlier on. The best show for us was the traditional show, showcasing tunisia southern unique culture. Cons: karaoke can be boring for some kids, also kids dance show is targeting very young audience and older kids can feel it’s too babyish. However with drinks on offer teens and pre- teens can be kept happy. Fun activities/tour: Pros: you can book activities at the hotel or via your travel agent to go and see the island. It’s safer that way and you get to do everything. There is an outdoor dedicated play area for kids and next to the restaurant there is a pool and a ping pong table. Cons: some group tours can feel a bit rushed if you need more time perhaps going by taxis or returning by taxis is an option. Don’t feel pressured to buy. In all honesty the top 2 attractions (winter time) are the crocodile farm, the Berber history museum and they can be done via taxi, then the souk on another day so you have plenty of time to visit/shop. It is customary to negotiate prices at the souk (market), also worth checking the taxi price at the hotel to avoid confusion. Special day to view Star Wars film location can be done via 4x4 day trip too. These trips can be tedious with much younger children. Onsite spa: Pros: This is a great treat at an affordable price you can enjoy some beauty treatment and have a relaxing time, even as a family! Cons: ensure you don’t go too late for treatment to enjoy it fully. Some people may not like the heat from the steam room, in such case you may want to seat at the entrance. The person massaging may not speak international languages fluently but will always try and help (in any case it’s a quiet time so there is no time to speak). Bedroom: Pros: spacious, cleaned daily, bath towel changed daily, beds made daily too. Cons: some issues spotted were promptly resolved. If you have any issues best to talk to reception. Hygiene: Pros: Hotel looks and feel generally very clean. Food seems done with proper care (none of us got sick) and throughly enjoyed the restaurant daily. Cons: no hygiene issue, during our stay. Staff: Pros: staff are very friendly, entertainment team take their job very seriously and are always trying to involved everyone. Really loved how they interact with hotel guests. We come back today from this wonderful hotel and I really want to Recomand it to all families. It is a really nice hotel, clean with amazing people ready to make your stay exactly how you imagined or even more . We went with our two girls 3 and7 years and they also really enjoyed it. They have a lot for kids: pool for kids with water slides, kids club with daily activities, outdoor playground and a very big plus wich my girls loved was the outside trambulines. Food very tasty restaurant clean and modern, actually all the hotel seems quite new. All people from here work very hard and you can see that. Another big bravo for entertainment guys .So …..YES well done Iberostar Waves Mehari Djerba we Recomand it and for sure we will return one day .

Fabulous hotel, great food. Close to the beach.. Big comfy room balcony. Buffet style restaurantots of choice. Not far from Midoun, we hired a car and toured the island. The staff were lovely, vety friendly and they work so hard. Special mention to Ahmed for the laughs and always smiling..

The hotel was built in high standard and over time still stands up to it. I can recommend this place for anyone who is looking for a place to relax and enjoy the holidays. Even though it’s not the season we felt like middle of summer. We obviously must highlight the stuff. Exceptional! Everyone is kind and generous. Two women stole our hearts: lady taking care of our room and lady taking care of our stomachs. If you are in this hotel you must visit local food stand where you will not be able to resist chapatti breads and shakshuka - my breakfast every day!
