It is amazing to begin the day relaxing by the billabong with a cup of coffee, watching the birds skim the surface and populate the trees, and then head out to explore the Yarra Valley. Sue arranged bespoke tours for me for hikes, a visit to the Healesville Wildlife Sanctuary, lunch in the charming town of Healesville, and a night walk to experience the flight of the Greater Gliders. My interest was nature photography and birding. I was able to see over 40 species on the property, and added several more on the excursions. The cottage is a comfortable place to relax. Sue and Bill are the perfect hosts.

The 3 days i spent at the The Burrow was 3 of the most relaxing days i have ever spent away would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in a lovely country retreat this is the place

A high point on our entire visit to Australia. Can’t say enough about this wonderful place. Our host and hostess have spent over 40 years restoring the property to a lush wildlife haven for native animals. Bird watching on the property was incredible, plus they have wild sugar gliders you may be able to see and also resident wombats and kangaroos nearby. And you will be amazed at the nocturnal chorus of frogs, including the amazing “Pobble-bonk." They are very knowledgable about all things nature, especially Australian plants, animals and conservation issues. We stayed two nights I I wish it was more.

The Burrow at Wombat was one of the most memorable locations that I have ever stayed in. The setting is beautiful and the cottage has everything you need. Sue and Bill are lovely hosts. They really care about your trip and have immense pride in the beautiful area that they have created. My only regret is that I didn't stay longer!
