Prachtige accomodatie! Mooie omgeving met canopy-tower en verschillende birdfeeders. Mooi wandelen langs de verschillende trails. Ideale uitvalsbasis om excursies in het Mindo gebied te doen. Zeer fijne bediening! Kortom het ideale verblijf voor elke natuurliefhebber of fotograaf

If you are looking for a place to get close to Hummingbirds, here it is. the feeders were full of them, at least 10 varieties. The food was excellent and the employees were extremely friendly. the rooms were well appointed with all of the necessities.

Le lodge est sur une grande propriété avec des petits sentiers qui passent dans la jungle. Sur la terrasse il y a des "abreuvoirs" à colibris donc on peut les observer de près toute la journée en plus ils n'ont pas vraiment peur. On peut prendre le temps de faire de belles fotos. Il y a une piscine intéreure chauffée, on a bien apprécié de se baigner à la fin de la journée. Le pdj est servi à table, avec des fruits frais, jus, boissons chaudes, et des oeufs au choix. Le soir on mangeait au lodge car on n'avait pas envie de "resortir". C'est pas de la grande gastronomie mais bon.

Sachatamia is a charming ecolodge located above Mindo, Ecuador. The room we stayed in was a bungalow that was very nice and quiet. The main area for dining is spacious and the staff is excellent. The food we had was fantastic. We were on an all inclusive package, so we just sat down and the food started showing up. Always a surprise and always very good. We relaxed outside while watching the birds and agoutis at the feeders. The highway runs close by, so there is some road noise. The lodge is gated for extra security. I would highly recommend Sachatamia Lodge for your stay near Mindo.

Many details in the landscaping, architecture of the buildings, and evidence of care given over the years to the upkeep of all buildings. A real pleasure to stay at such a well-presented property. Many bird varieties are seen from the veranda, and there are other fauna on the 320 hectare reserve.

A great base for exploring the wonders of the Mindo area. And, on the lodge site itself are some incredible opportunities to get good shots of hummingbirds (near the lodge) and a moth blind on the property. The lodging was good, a separate cabin in the woods with all the necessary amenities. The food and atmosphere of the main lodge was very good. The lobby was full of expert birders. I was the lone photographer amongst them but enjoyed the experience very much. Highly recommended.

Wonderful lodge above Mindo that we used as a base for three days of birding. Cabins were very comfortable, good sized bathrooms, comfortable beds & seating with plenty of plugs for electronics. Lodge was splendid with friendly staff & excellent meals. Great place if you don't want to be in town.
