We enjoyed our stay. Cleanliness is important to us, and Super 8/Starved Rock exceeded our expectations. Many parts of the facility appear to have been recently renovated. The hallway carpeting, for example, seemed new or nearly new. The bathroom, shower, bathroom fixtures, light fixtures, and night stands also appeared new or nearly new. The continental breakfast included waffles and, again, was very much improved over our previous visits. Well-done, thank you, and I'm sure we'll see you again!

There was poop on the floor in our room and we received no refund. Disgusting and a health violation. We traveled with no pets or anything. It looks like it had been there a while so I'm assuming they don't clean rooms?

The staff was very helpful to us as we have some health issues. They made sure we were able to have a room close to the office. They were helpful with any questions we had and even as if they could help us load our car.

I was accused of smoking in the room the day I checked out on 5/22 instead of 5/23 because I had to drive to another state for work and didn’t receive my 74$ for that day but it’s 100$ fine for smoking and they just keep my 74$

Should have left once I pulled in the parking lot. There is no curb appeal. Not sure what if any updates occurred in the lobby. Walking up to the third floor everything was dark and dirty. The room looked like something from a horror movie. No dead bolt on the door. Never bothered to look at the bathroom. Was in the room for about 2 minutes and had to leave. Front desk was very helpful but I booked a different stay at another hotel.

This hotel was clean, quiet, and had the basic amenities anyone would want: good bed, hot shower with good water pressure, desk, good light for reading, WiFi/TV, plus fridge and microwave. An older property, recently remodeled with some thought to what people need. Well-lit parking, and close to I-80, but also to gas, dining, shopping and other services.
