The lobby, breakfast area, outside patios, landscaping and location of this hotel were all wonderful, but our room and bathroom were terrible. The room and bathroom were outdated, dark, dingy and not clean. Mold around the bathtub faucet, outdated and unclean floors/rugs, shower curtain was about a foot too long so it was always in the middle of the tub, hair on the floor, door knob to the patio kept coming off, dirt/stains on lampshades - it was nasty. The saving grace was the in-room Keurig and the patio overlooking the river. That said, I would not stay here again. Best Western seems to have definitely gone down hill. This place probably needed an upgrade 20 years ago. Too bad because the location is fantastic.

Hoping for a more elegant hotel being called a plus, this hotel was disappointing. The double queen room is the third floor is large and adequate. Bed is really lumpy. There is a fridge and microwave. I’m sitting in the balcony trying to relax to the stream but the road behind the stream has tons of construction trucks driving by. So much for a relaxing visit. I was hoping for more and am disappointed.

We recently stopped in Dillsboro and chose the Best Western River Escape Inn and Suites, intially because of the reviews and the great price. We got there late at night and were pleasantly surprised with a beautiful river view on a back porch for breakfast! Plenty of seating, rockers and just the river sounds and peacefullness. The food was wonderful, great selection of hot/cold items and the attendant was pleasant. The checkin was easy, front desk people were pleasant and accommodating. The room was clean, as was the bathroom, water pressure good, air worked fine. My daughter and I agreed MOST COMFORTABLE HOTEL BEDDING EVER! We will definitely be back!

I had a family emergency and could not stay. I tried to cancel the hotel the day before but the hotel cited their 48 hour cancelation policy and were unwilling to budge on that. I'm very disappointed with this hotel for not making an exception and I won't stay at BWH again. Lesson learned.

This location was great. Away from town just a little bit, on the river and at the base of the mountains. Room was clean, bed was comfy, breakfast was delicious for sure. The balcony was very enjoyable to enjoy coffee in the morning and beer at night and just listen to the water. Only issue was parking but every night we were able to find a spot even if it was pretty far away from the main doors. Staff at the front desk was always friendly and helpful! Would definitely recommend!!

Very clean facility and room, staff was excellent. Grounds were very well kept. We had some issues with the initial booking but the desk staff was on task and took care of it immediately. They are phenomenal!!!

We went for our 1st Wedding Anniversary and it was gorgeous. It is tucked away, but a hidden gem. It is centrally located near Cherokee, Sylva, and Bryson City. We took the Tuckasegee (tuck-uh-SEE-jee) River Excursion on the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad and we were pleasantly surprised that it goes right past the hotel on the layover in Dillsboro! It was the perfect grand finale to our trip and everyone was friendly and helpful. We will be back soon!

Another great stay at our favorite Best Western Plus Inn. The staff do an excellent job of caring for us, from the front desk to the complimentary breakfast. The hotel location has great charm, The landscaping is lovely. We look forward to pour next visit. The hotel is a great place to stay when visiting the Smokeys.
