River Run Village by Keystone Resort

How can you expect your guest to sleep in this **** mattress after a long day snowboarding/skiing… We made a horrible decision to stay here place called keystone buffalo lodge. Murphy bed In the kitchen! This mattress probably from 1980! Outdated!!! my back is leaning into the middle of the bed.. I wonder when was the last time they updated and how can you offer this ??? Everything in this place is outdated with ridiculous room price you are charging people. NEVER AGAIN. Update: called reception and informed how uncomfortable this bed and asked for solution she said someone will bring a mattress topper. It was 9:30 pm we waited until 11 pm unfortunately no-one came. Note: when we booked the room there was not a single Murphy bed pictures posted. So be aware.

[This is a copied/pasted review I shared directly with Keystone Resort management] "I realize that "ski" resorts cannot limit their occupancy to the ski season alone. However, if you're going to rent rooms during the (hot) off-season, you need to update your facility to accommodate Summertime guests. Maybe think about air conditioning. Also, we were totally taken aback when we discovered that the room did not have a standard bed, but rather a Murphy bed. This was not disclosed in any of the advertisements presented by ******* or Keystone Resorts. We would have never booked the room had we known this. Prior to our first night's sleep however, we did give you the benefit of the doubt that a Murphy bed may be okay. Unfortunately, our concerns that it would not be comfortable were confirmed, as we did not sleep well...at all...as the bed has a severe sag. That, along with the room being so uncomfortably hot (even with a fan in the window) -- suffice it to say, we left a day early (Saturday afternoon). We just couldn't bear the thought of suffering through a second sleepless night just to leave the next morning. Fortunately, we live only a couple of hours away. This happened to be our anniversary weekend. Unfortunately, our disappointment with the accommodations will overshadow any of the 'good' memories that we have of our time in the area. I guess we'll know better in the future to not assume that a $250/night hotel will have air conditioning in the Summer, and a 'regular' bed."

We’re on our 4th day without hot water.. We have notified them from the 1st evening..We have called daily!!! When we call to see what the status is for us to get some hot water the girl tells us the boiler is at 100 degrees, in response I tell her to please send someone to our room and she will see it’s not 100, in fact it’s 85 because I picked up a thermometer at Walmart just to see for myself.. The worst part is she said a maintenance guy came to our room at 1:27 one day and that day my wife was in the room until 3.. Terrible customer service on their part.. We come out every year and stay in a ski in ski out condo and this is the 1st time we’ve ever had to leave a negative review..

We stay in a river run condo for a wedding we attended. The price was outrageous for this unit. The water pressure in the showers was extremely low. The shower condition was old and dirty looking. The sheets had black marks on them. There was no door between the bedroom and the bathroom in the master. The hair dryer in the master had been ripped off the wall and thrown under the cabinet. The furniture was very old, worn and dated. It was right next to the road so with the windows open it was noisy in the early mornings. They gave us one package of coffee for the 2 night stay. The only thing good I have to say is that it was convenient to the Keystone Village with all the restaurants and chair lift. We just walked a short distance to get to all of these. If visiting Keystone I could not recommend this place to stay.

Having 3 small kids and two seniors, we booked lodging (Springs) close to the gondola having the location as our main requirement. When we arrived to check in, we were placed to Soda Springs which is very far from gondola. We were told that there was no availability at Springs and that if we wanted to move from Soda Springs to a different location, we had to pay rate difference. The rate difference was larger than the amount we initially paid for Springs. I received no email informing that there was a problem and change in location. The guys kept telling us there was nothing they could do to help us, that reservation is done by other people or "by a computer" and that they had no control over it. We spent 2 hours at check in trying to solve the issue and as a result we were late and unable to ski as we planned on our first day. The 5 people at check in were sorry about our problem but were absolutely incompetent and unable to help us. Eventually (after loooong time), they called a manager for help and she was able to find a place for us at JackPine with no additional charge. She told them that in such cases they cannot charge us rate difference. They did not know how to do it. They nearly sent us home or required to pay additional $1,100. The room that we ended up in was good but TV were not working (verizon software issues), WiFi passwords did not work and there was poor lighting in the rooms. Also, there was a lot of noise (not from people) at night.

Amazing staff! We stayed in the River Run Dakota Lodge which had a heated pool for the kids and hot tubs for the adults. It was a quick 5 min walk to the gondola, groceries, and restaurants. Kids 2-day, full-day ski school was effective and gave parents time to ski.
