Prima voor een nachtje. Aardige eigenaar/stel/personneel. Is wel oud (gehorig) en een paar onhandige dingen: geen ‘stoor me niet’ hanger voor op de deur (kamer wordt elke dag opgeruimd waarom??? Weinig plek in kamer om telefoons op te laden. Geen haken op de muren (wat doe je met je jas of natte handdoek?). Ontbijt was veel verpakt/houdbaar weinig vers. Nogmaals prima maar verwacht geen luxe.

Wij waren 4 dagen in het hotel met ons Fietsteam “ Voralberg” uit Oostenrijk, voor de wedstrijd Ronde van de Achterhoek. Geweldige verzorging, niets was te veel, heerlijke bedden , erg goed eten en veel, heel veel goede zorgen. Het hele team, begeleiders en renners hebben genoten .

Helaas een tegenvaller. Hotel is erg verouderd en er is duidelijk sprake van achterstallig onderhoud. Dat zouden we nog geaccepteerd hebben als het eten lekker geweest was. Er was geen keuze als je een 3-gangen- inclusief had, maar oké, we lusten alles. Soep ging, simpel en zout. De Schnitzel was doordrongen van het vet, wellicht een uit de vriezer en gebakken in lauwe boter, de aardappeltjes te bruin. Het toetje was lekker. De witte wijn was niet erg lekker, de rode wijn was niet te drinken. Och ja, kwestie van smaak. Aperol spritz hadden ze niet. Het ontbijt was gewoon zoals we thuis elke dag ontbijten. Helaas geen harde broodjes, geen croissants, geen spek, geen yoghurt, geen fruit, geen cappuccino. Het terras was leuk, het bier en de bitterballen smaakten goed. De baas werkte hard en was correct maar er kon geen glimlach vanaf, nog in de rouw? Klinkt hard, is hard, maar daar hebben gasten geen boodschap aan. We gingen weg na een nacht ipv 3 nachten maar hebben wel 2 prachtige fietsroutes gemaakt. De enige opmerking die de baas maakte: nu al? en het weer wordt nu beter! Had hij echt geen idee of durfde hij de reden niet te vragen?

Erg oud en vreselijk gehorig. Om 23.30 bij de buren aan moeten kloppen omdat we woordelijk komen verstaan wat ze zeiden.
