Meine Frau und ich haben auf dem Weg in den Süden und wegen der Nähe zur Grube Messel hier übernachtet. Der Preis war durchaus angemessen. Der Service, sowohl an der Rezeption als auch beim Frühstück, war nett. Das Zimmer war sauber und (hotelmäßig) gemütlich. Das Frühstück war qualitativ und mengenmäßig völlig ausreichend. Kritik: - das Hotel liegt günstig in der City direkt am Marktplatz. Leider hat das zur Folge, dass man das Fenster eigentlich nicht öffnen kann, weil ansonsten wegen des Lärms rücksichtsloser Zeitgenossen auf dem Marktplatz und neben dem Hotel an Schlaf nicht zu denken ist - der für die Hotelgäste zur Verfügung stehende Parkplatz muss mit dem nebenan befindlichen Restaurant geteilt werden. Insbesondere bei abendlicher Rückkehr, z.B. von einem Ausflug, ist dieser allerdings von Restaurantgästen belegt und steht tatsächlich für Hotelgäste nicht zur Verfügung. Diese müssen auf einen öffentlichen, mehrere Minuten entfernten Parkplatz ausweichen. Die sinngemäße Aussage des Hotels "das müssen wir so akzeptieren" ist nicht wirklich hilfreich - das Treppenhaus (siehe Bild) ist für ältere Menschen ohne "Bergerfahrung" wegen der Steilheit und der m.E. nicht ausreichenden Sicherung wenig geeignet. Insgesamt ist das Hotel eingeschränkt zu empfehlen.

Always a pleasure to stay at the Mainzer Hof Hotel in Dieburg. Nice and kindly people that make you feel ar home. The breakfast is great and they are very flexible with arrival times . Best relation between price and quality Would certainly recommend it
