This is part 2 of my review for Majestic Colonial Punta Cana experience in January 2025 Entertainment staff: One of the reasons for us to return to this hotel for a 3rd time was the fantastic entertainment staff we met there in year 2014 , the so called "Funjestic team". If any of you have been there in year 2014. you`ll know what am I talking about. They were out of this world, very frienly, smiling, hardworking and their slogan was "Ï LOVE MY JOB!" We still remember the names of many of them. They were working day and night- many fun games, jokes, chatting on the beach with guests, always with friendly and warm attitude. We travel all around the world and we have been in many resorts, but none of them could beat the animation of Majestic Colonial from year 2014. The animation NOW was zero to none. Boring games or lacking of games at all. It was obvious that they do their job as obligation, with unwilligness and with remiss behaviour.... We barely see any of them during the day. And at night, they were performing few american dances. The merengue, bachata and salsa dances were an exception at the live music bar. One can not feel the local music and atmosphere in this way. Guest service: We filed a written complaint regarding the attitude of the stuff at the Rodeo Grill. We were told that it will be passed to the managing staff. We stayed at the hotel for 10 nights and the compain was written on day 3. No one contacted us, no one took any measures to see what happened. Total disregard. Celebration: I celebrated my 50th anniversary at Majestic Colonial. We informed the front desk, the Guest Service and the our buttler (Mr. B). Guess what: I had to pay 35 dollars for a small bithday cake (same cake that you may find for free in each of the restaurants). No band on our room`s door, no decoration in our room at all (for God`s sake, 5 baloons would cost s couple of dollars). No petals on the bed or any towel figures (which we`ve got in our room in year 2014 every day at the Family side! not to mention that we also often had surprises in our room - like cheese and fruits plates, a bottle of wine etc ) I was really dissapointed. On the next day my brother met our buttler and told him that is a shame for not providing anything special for my birthday, even a band on the door... Then, our buttler put a band, i. e. close the stable door after the horse has bolted.... In the advertisement we were promised a Majestic touch for the Club side guests...what a dissapointment. Another thing: as Colonial Clib guests we are supposed to have some gifts in our room: hats, beach bags (some of the guests mentioned also T-shirts, flip flops). No gifts for us. On the 4th day I asked our buttler and ONLY THEN he brought us hats and beach bags. Meanwhile one of my friends had to buy a beacj bag from the hotel stores for about 35 dollars.... Bar tenders: Many of them inattentive! The only bartenders that are doing their job perfectly were those on the Pool bar at th!e Club
