Popular Diani Beach 4-star Hotels

It is hard to find anything good to say about Bahari Dhow beach villas but I’ll give it a go: The rooms are spacious. The pools are very large. It is on the beach. It is cheap. In contrast it is easy to find fault: Staff are nonchalant , indifferent or inexperienced. The place is dirty, there was no housekeeping service, food was terrible, ‘restaurant’ was full of wasps, crows and cats. Furniture was falling apart. Frankly the place has seen better days and is in dire need of an overhaul.

Wonderful hotel - great location and also the facilities are great. The only issue is when the hotel is full - there are insufficient Beach towels. it doesn't help that most people take more than expected ie 3/4 more per person rather than one per person. We had to wait the whole day to get a clean towel. ( speaking to other guests - they collected their towels @ 7.30am or the night before...) . Would recommend that management bring in a CARD system for beach towels so that everyone has an equal allocation( when it is not full you can revert to the current system. ) Guest relations ( Marcia) is amazing and recommend speaking to her about anything local. She can advise you and help whenever possible. the biggest positive is the FOOD - it was amazing and the freshest of the cooking was visibly seen. the bar was quick to respond to drinks orders. the only issue is the amount of paperwork they need as most guests are on All- inclusive yet it was requested that the room number be given every time you ordered a drink. Perhaps management can review this? let the staff see the BANDS to decide which needs food orders or not

Everything was great with this hotel, from the view to the service. The beach is very beautiful and clean. There are quite a few of beach boys on the beach waiting to sell things to you. However if you tell them politely you’re not interested, they’ll leave you alone. It’s very close to Ukunda airport, only 10min drive. One major thing this resort needs to improve is the foods. The foods are no where close to a 5 star resort standard. They’re normal than normal. Limited varieties. This was the most disappointing part. However because of the superb view and services, I was able to enjoy the trip! Will definitely go back and hope the foods are good by then.

Wonderful hotel wirh many baobabs, 3 kind of monkeys and the best animation team: Mary, Vivian, Ruth, Armani, Juma and James, very helpful and frendly, always smilling, like a family members, nothing is impossible for them. Also security guardsare very nce, frendly and helpful. I recomend the hotel to everyone, the memories are wonderful, I wish to go backthere again as soon as possible.

The hotel is huge and the grounds are beautifully kept. The rooms need a bit of maintenance but everything was working properly and they are clean. The A/C is a blessing when it's hot outside. The food is pretty decent but what deserves more than 5 stars is the staff. They are super attentive and sweet. Evans at the front desk will do everything to take care of the guests, and the restaurant staff, including the manager, are a pleasure to deal with.

We had an excellent stay at Neptune Paradise Beach hotel. It's a nice comfortable hotel. the rooms are large with an excellent bathroom and the bed is realy fine. The staff is very helpful and friendly, the make your stay the best. The toilets near the pool is very clean and an compliment to Kenneth who is cleaning with a smile all day. The food in the restaurant is variated with fresh ingredients en lots of fresh fruits. We left the hotel for 4 days, for our safari and when we came back, alle te staf asked us for our experience. For your safari we advise you to go to JT Safari's at the other side of the street. Julius wil give you the best experience and a good price for an safari the way you like it. And you will support the local community insteat the great touroperators.

Unser Aufenthalt war im Allgemeinen recht angenehm in der Anlage. Bei unserer Ankunft wurden wir nett willkommen geheißen mit einem kühlen Drink. Der Rezeptionist konnte sogar deutsch sprechen, was das Ganze sehr angenehm bei der Ankunft für einige gestaltete. Unser Zimmer war sehr geräumig mit einer gut funktionierenden Klimaanlage. Auch für Insektenschutz wird vorgesorgt durch das Hotel mit einem Moskitonetz über dem Bett. Leider hatten wir die ersten 5 Tage kein warmes Wasser, aber durch das ansprechen wurde es behoben. Die Hotelanlage ist überschaubar mit vielen Palmen, grünen Büschen und Blumen, welches sich positiv auf die Optik auswirkt. Der Pool ist sehr sauber, da er jeden Abend gereinigt wird. Die Größe des Pools reicht auch aus für die Anlage. Die Liegemöglichkeiten am Strand sind überschaubar. Nicht zu viele Liegen aber auch nicht zu wenige. Man sieht zu jederzeit Wachpersonal, welche Verkäufer am Strand abhalten auf das Hotelgelände zu kommen und sie sorgen auch generell für Sicherheit (auch gegen die Affen). Das Buffet variiert täglich, es gibt auch immer traditionelle Küche dazu. Die Auswahl ist nicht riesig, aber dafür immer frisch! Das tolle am Buffet ist, dass kein tägliches fastfood serviert wird, sondern mehr gesundes Essen. Der täglich Fangfrische Fisch ist nur zu empfehlen. Die Servicekräfte sind generell freundlich und höflich, aber es gibt immer Ausnahmen. Leider sind an der Beachbar dauerhaft zwei oder drei Angestellte unhöflich und erwecken den Eindruck nicht arbeiten zu wollen. Aber der Rest der Truppe ist super nett. Was auch etwas zu wünschen übrig lässt, ist die Schnelligkeit des Servicepersonals. Am Stand befindet sich noch eine Massagelonge, welche sehr zu empfehlen ist! Für eine 30 minütige Rückenmassage bezahlt man schlappe 1500 KES und für eine Ganzkörpermassage für die selbe Zeit 2000 KES. Dann gibt es noch Häuschen das Freizeitangebote bietet, welches günstige Bootstouren zu den Sandbanken vereinbart. Aber es gibt auch Tagestouren und Tauchangebote, welche ich aber überteuert finde. Der Strand ist einfach ein Traum und das Meer ebenso. Klares warmes Wasser und weißer Sandstrand. Leider sind die Verkäufer am Strand super nervig, aber die versuchen auch nur über die Runden zu kommen.

Fantastic hotel in great location next to beach. Beautiful grounds excellent staff service. Spotlessly clean. We had a room with Ocean view which was amazing. Food buffet with plenty of choice. Walter at the pool bar gave really attentive service despite him just starting at Palm Beach. Scorvia waitress again excellent service always with a smile. The young man who cleaned our room number 706 was always helpful and attentive. A big thank you to receptionist Vicky who helped us sort out problems with the flight back to Nairobi she even used her personal phone to sort for us.

The breakfast variety is too small, two points can be checked in, waiting for the stay, the waiter will not provide free drinking water. Service attitude is general, not as good as treating white people warmly.
