Safina Cottages

Een heel fijn huis op een klein parkje in Diani, ongeveer 5 minuten lopen vanaf het strand. Er is een supermarkt vlakbij. Het huisje is ruim met een groot terras. Het zwembad is prima van formaat. s ochtends en s avonds komen er vaak heel veel apen spelen in de tuin en op en rond de huisjes. Heel erg leuk! Het personeel is supervriendelijk en behulpzaam. De eigenaresse is heel erg vriendelijk. We konden haar altijd van alles vragen en ze had erg goede tips. Het enige nadeel vonden we dat de matrassen van de bedden vrij hard waren, maar dat is wel vaker in Kenia, hebben we gemerkt.

An oasis of peace just 10 minutes' stroll to the beach and 5 minutes to the hustle and bustle of supermarkets, restaurants, cafes and banks. Ideal for couples and friends to unwind. Each of the 6 cottages has 2 bedrooms for a total of 4 people. The kitchen is appropriately equipped with a gas stove/oven (electric), fridge/freezer combination, cutlery, glasses, bowls - everything for 4 people. Pots and pans are high quality and no tin toys. So you can cook well (there is even a grill on request) or go out to eat, which is also within walking distance from everywhere in Diani. (In the evening only by tuc-tuc or taxi - not because the cottage is in a bad area - on the contrary! but because that is recommended for us pale-nosed people). Enclosed by a wall and 24/7 security, there is a wonderful "park" with old trees - great integrated cottages and a clean, well-kept and comfortable pool. There are always enough loungers - you don't need to reserve and there are no fixed pool times - after dinner you can always have a nightcap in the dark thanks to the pool lighting. The always courteous, hardworking and friendly staff under the management of the Swabian/Kenyan owner couple will anticipate your every wish - be it a load of laundry or an extra towel. The boss is usually on site and is always open to questions and full of suggestions and tips for trips "off the beaten track". After a few nights, even a die-hard workaholic like me feels a slowing down and a calm that I have never experienced before. For me, it is a highlight and a reason to come back as soon as I can.
