Frangipani Cottages

The place is located in a great location. You have access to the shopping centre and the beach within a few minutes of walking. The have a very nice pool which is shared by all the tenants. During our stay we had issues with the toilet being broken the whole time so flushing was done the old fashioned way. The rooms were very stuffy because ventilation is not that good and the mats got wet from taking showers, we had to kill at least 2 massive cockroaches in the bathroom, our room was “Mnazi 1” so keep in mind if you want to book the same one the staff start doing the laundry with loud machines from as early as 6:30am (you cannot sleep through the noise even if you’re tired as the noise is right on the side of the bedroom), Diani being a hot town the host charges for AC usage they however give you a standing fan that does not really cool the room down if you’re used to sleeping in cool rooms. My friends and I also found the girlfriend/wife to the host to be snobbish if not hostile but Thomas was friendly and very responsive. The nice things about this place is the location, the pool, the gateman and the hedgehog that resides in the property, there are also so many cats in the compound but generally don’t bother guests.

If you look for an inexpensive small quiet place in Diani then go to Frangipani! Located in a small side road near CHANDARANA the place is not easy to find. The simple cottages are clean and have AF. A small kitchen is also available. Some more appliances like toaster and electric water kettle would be welcome. You pay srparately for electricity depending on your usage. Thete is a swimming pool too. Frangipsni can be found on BOOKING and AIRBNB. The place is mostly fully booked well in advance. The personnel is friendly and helpful The only real nuisance are the monkeys who steal whatever they find. I am now spending my 2nd time here and will surely return again
