There are no words to describe the climate and the air you breathe in this small atoll in the Maldives called Diffushi, about 45 minutes by speedboat from Malè. For those who want to have a low cost holiday there is also the blue boat that takes you to your destination in three hours, with restrictive timetables but certainly cheaper. Since I was there for the first time, that is, in 2017, I have always stayed at Abdullah, that is, at White Sand beach. The staff is amazing, you can choose the all-inclusive formula or not, they bend over backwards for you, they are honest and super helpful people. So much so that every year we couldn't help but return here, to our legendary White Sand. Abdullah's brother, Hussein, often accompanied us on various trips in search of sea turtles or to the sand bank, the strip of sand in the middle of the ocean... or on other excursions. Always organized in detail with unlimited food and drinks and customer care. The structure is simple and comfortable, it does not directly overlook the sea but it is 30 meters away and the photos published are exactly what you will find, nothing more, nothing less. Since there are more sides to go to the beach, there is also one where you can see stingrays at night time. Notice to all users who read this post: This type of Maldives is a place for a "chosen" few. They must be understood and appreciated and let's not forget that they are a Muslim people, very, very open to tourism despite their restrictive traditions. And for those like me who are sommeliers, and can't find alcohol on the island, there is the Safari boat (inquire directly on site). Respect, love and appreciate these people and these atolls because the fishermen's islands are not the ultra-luxury resorts with the all-inclusive formula that you expect... but in addition to spending a third and being able to afford the Maldives every year, you will discover a contact with crazy nature. I don't think it's a neat and pint-sized room with a go-go buffet, perhaps of a Western type, with the possibility of directly accessing the beach from your bungalow... with square meters of piers and fictitious structures around you to make it an authentic place . The sand is the same, the sea is the same. I have toured the Maldives far and wide, visiting various atolls, but in the end I always come back here discovering that "Maldive sickness" exists. Therefore for those who want to be the Bruno Barbieri of the situation, publishing photos of degradation and denigrating a type of simple tourism that offers you what they can offer (collecting rainwater and recycling it into drinking water for example and so on, working the coconut oil obtained from them only when possible for our hair ... women, there is no more organic than that) ... to those who don't like this type of stay I was saying.. I recommend going to the fake world of resorts. There you can breathe authenticity 🤣. Furthermore, over the years they have evolved and improved many things and beliefs
