I was a bit apprehensive about our stay here as I had read mixed reviews online. The hotel is well situated on Dhermi beach front, at the time of our visit they are building a huge hotel in front of Patio Mare which completely obstructs the sea view, this wasn’t a massive issue for us but something to be aware of if you stay here. Access to a private area of the beach and sun beds is great! I have to say I was shocked at how busy and commercialised the beach front is, it’s absolutely packed with sun beds and bars blaring out music. The beach does not have an authentic Albanian vibe we were looking for. If you want this you need to stay in the old town it is beautiful, authentic and quiet. It would have been nice if the hotel provided beach towels. The rooms are well equipped and comfortable however are extremely small! We are here on a 4 week trip so have a lot of luggage and there was absolutely no storage in the room. The rooms have a fridge and kettle which is useful. Breakfast is average at best. The fresh coffee was delicious, as was the fresh fruit and yoghurt. The cooked breakfast had been sat in the trays for a long time, it was not fresh at all so we didn’t bother with it after the first day. Private parking included in the hotel price was a bonus for us as parking in Dhermi is limited and expensive. Overall I would say this hotel is 3* rather than 4* and is over priced for the service it offers.

Eggs & sausages are cooked early in the morning and kept standing at unsafe temperatures for hours. Not only does this make them inedible they will be also crawling with bacteria. Holding temperature should be above 63 degrees. When point it out to the staff that the food is cold and unsafe we were told that they promise a buffet and freshly prepared food and you should eat what's on display. They refuse to replenish the food and the following day was done exactly the same way. The cake was full of lumps of raw flour that was not mixed into the batter. When we showed them, the member of staff could nor care less. No reaction and left it on the buffet for guests to eat. If they offer a hot buffet with high risk food, they have to insure that it is fresh and safe to eat. SEND YOUR STAFF ON FOOD HYGIENE TRAINING!

The hotel is in a position where you practically can't see the sea even if you are 30 meters from the beach, because they built a new hotel that will be ready in six months and it hides the sea view. The rooms are VERY small and if you have to spend a week there I don't know how you can live there. We kept our suitcases half open without putting our clothes away and we didn't know how to move. Angelo is an exceptional person who helps you with everything that can be useful for your stay, both in the hotel and outside and always recommends the right things. The walk is not very long, but it is pleasant and there are a lot of more or less expensive restaurants that can satisfy you in choosing dinner.

Team working in this hotel is exceptional. Carrying and polite. Girl at the reception prepared by herself a list with recommended restaurants and bars around which was very helpful. Good location. New building. Sunbeds on the beach free of charge.
